Just moved to town and already found my go to place for breakfast and lunch. You know the kind of place where as soon as you walk in the door, the smell of home-cooked food, neat in appearance staff and smiling patrons tell you that you made the right choice? Well this is that place! After reading the reviews I knew I would be stopping in and they (positive reviews) are "on point" with regard to quality, selection, service and price. If the experience my son and I had today speaks to regular occurrence this will be a regular haunt for sure. Our server was Ryan and great service would be an understatement. Checked on us several times although we only had single entries with drinks and I noted him providing the same excellent attentiveness to all of his customers. Another positive, you can see the area where food is being prepared, cooks/ chefs are well groomed, neat in appearance, outside cafe style seating also available, great selection of food items including vegan dished for those of you eating our oxygen supply lol and the menus prices are definitely reasonable but not so much so as to cause worry or concerns about quality, a very good value in my opinion. Oh, and a cup of coffee that would make any Barista proud drinkable from start to finish with nary a grain and tasted fresh roasted to me. Anyone having a less-than-stellar experience at this local cafe must have skipped their...
Read moreThis was our first time. I can only give it two stars because the service was absolutely terrible. Kristen was our server. First, after we were seated it was 15min before we were even greeted. By then, we had reviewed the menu and were ready to order. Kristen finally greets us, asks what we wanted to drink. We told her it had been some time since we were seated to we were ready to order. We felt very rushed. I was cut off before I could complete my order. More time goes by (we were wondering if she was milking the coffee beans). She finallly comes back with half of the beverage order. It was another 15-20 min before we got the water we initially asked for. Food took a very long time to come out. (There are only two of us) Others with larger parties were served befor us. Not once while we waited did Kristen come by to let us know there was a delay nor did she offer more coffee. When our food finally came, I asked for more coffee and another condiment I needed for my meal. SHE NEVER CAME BACK. I had to ask another server to help me. What was supposed to be a quick small meal turned out to be an hour and a half ordeal. By then time I got what I needed, my meal was cold. When she finally came back she apologized for “forgetting about us”. It’s a shame, we’ve been told how fantastic this place is, but I don’t thing we...
Read moreTo say i’m disappointed is an understatement. My family and I usually love sage biscuit, we typically order and pick up now that we have a baby but today was a disaster. My husband ordered on his way home from church and was hung up on. Upon arriving, he parked closest to the door and politely called and asked if someone could bring out our order because the baby was asleep in the back so he didn’t want to move her but they refused. Getting our baby out obviously woke her, resulting in a very unhappy baby followed by a very rude host. The host/ woman handling the order asked my husband and daughter to move where they were sitting and repeatedly told him they were busy when it was quite obvious that they weren’t (we’ve seen s.b packed before and it wasn’t at this moment), all while standing around seemingly doing nothing. When handed his receipt, the host implied he should tip despite being rude to him on the phone and while he was there waiting. Once he got home with our food, all the boxes were open, therefore the food was literally falling out. I normally pick up our order alone and felt so bad he was treated the way he was while also trying to calm our upset 6 month old. Needless to say we will be trying the other sage biscuit next time and hopefully they treat us better than this one because this...
