Sweet Deli Cafe & Catering — Restaurant in Bradenton

Sweet Deli Cafe nestled right outside downtown next to the courthouse. Just so happen to come in order to file paperwork for a young couple getting married. As I was about to get into the car, I stopped & said hey”let’s get a smoothie” Upon entering the place it was the ambiance of a nice, warm environment. Soft music 🎶 playing in the background. I was greeted by Laurie her professionalism & great attitude reflects greatly upon herself and Sweet Deli Cafe as a whole. I ordered the mango smoothie and a Crumb Cake 🍰 it was delicious and delightful. The owner wasn’t in the back relaxing. He was in the trenches helping take orders, preparing food. Frank’s unwavering desire to make sure every customer is taken care of shows a great credit to what true customer service looks like. It’s an art that’s been lost. Went to try this place with my little girl and witnessed a front of the house staff member mistreat a delivery driver over and over. This male (maybe owner) wasn’t nice a single time to the driver, kept going off and off about details about the pick up system, apparently the driver check in timing was inaccurate, got confrontational, incredible rude, trying to belittle the poor guy who kept his cool and was just trying to explain he was overreacting about nothing. Even after retaining the order from the driver, keep acting flustered over the phone just accusing the driver of what he initiated. Meanwhile I felt very mortified the whole time could not enjoy a single second of our meal. Very sad experience.

I understand everyone holds some issues but a little kindness...

Old dude is super rude, has no manners. Absolutely unacceptable. I would give 0 stars if I could. Very disrespectful, completely lost

Aren’t you’re too old to be acting like a kid and accusing people of nonsense, btw I have over 1250 trips and you were the only complaint I have, so good luck with trying to undermine my character.
