August Moon — Restaurant in Branchburg Township

Our usual Chinese food place has been completely shut down since Covid hit the area in March, so we tried August Moon. The restaurant has been in this location for many years, so they must be doing something right. My wife and I ordered pork chow fun and pork egg foo young, with steamed dumplings for appetizers. The egg foo young came as a combination platter, so it had fried rice and an egg roll. I liked the egg foo young, and the egg roll and rice were very good. My wife did not like the chow fun, so I tried some. It was OK, but not very tasty. The steamed dumplings were not that good either; kind of tasteless, but to be fair, they WERE steamed, not fried. I've showed her same and asked where is the nice & juicy thick sesame sauce, and she said, "there is sauce in there and asked if I want to have her sprinkle sesame seeds...insult to my intelligence....take a look at that soup size....in a small To-Go cup.....how...

Food isn't that great, beef was overcooked/burnt and I had to toss the soup it was so bad. To top it all, they are still in mid COVID mode..meaning you can't dine in and you have to wait at the entrance ( which is blocked off by tables, so you can't go in any further) I'd say you're better off at any other Chinese restaurant...
