Moe's Southwest Grill — Restaurant in Branchburg Township

I'd give this place a -5 stars ir I could because it's a joke. Honestly if I wanted to be jipped out of an entire meal I'd go here again.

I have been to Moe's all over the country and the one consistent with all of them is that they generally give you hearty portions of everything. The food is generally always fresh and good.

This place isn't stingy or cheap. It's downright pathetic. Chips where stale and broken in the nachos. Half a scoop of rice for a burrito bowl. Is the meal gonna be half price. You can tell they are recycling ingredients over a period of days.

I go to Moe's a lot, it's my favorite place for tex me fastfood in the northeast. My cousins also own a few franchises and I have seen them go to great lengths to keep things fresh. This place had super dark pinto beans. Clearly from consistent re heating.

Barely any queso and if you ask for them to put the actual portion size they charge you more. They use smaller scoops for everything. God forbid you ask for chips on the side with the nachos.. that's not possible because the nachos come with chips.

You want more condiments, that's extra.

In the early days they had a much wider menu with a better meat choices, now essentially just chicken or beef, or tofu for the veg-set.

Hoping after pandemic is finally beat they restore the salsa bar & the infinit-mix coke machine.

I have to say they always surprise me w how well the cram the stuff in a burrito, no matter how many ingredients you get.

That is probably makes me like Moe's better than the Qdoba, Chipotle, Pancheros, or Bubbakoos - the selection of adding, really allows you to cater your taste of the meal & pad the size of that meal decently.

Seems they are always fresh, with 3x the variety of any of the other places.

The other thing I have to say Moe's beats the other places with is their tortilla chips - super light, fresh made, just a smattering of salt, & crispy as heck.

So, as I said, if they brought back the other meats, & a few of the old menu items, Moe's would get 5 grunts, even for a "fastfood" joint. As such, I think a strong 4 is realistic. Try them folks, you'll like what you get. As always, your Gluttonous...

Ok let’s start from the beginning. I entered and was walking to the bathroom due to me being pregnant and needing to go before ordering and eating. I was rudely stopped by the manger(female) and explained that I will order once I’m done.

Then when I went to order the worker was texting on his phone, I asked him to change his gloved before preparing my food. I ordered a junior burrito. When it was time to pay I was charged a regular burrito price. The manager came and explained that the burrito was regular size. I informed her of what I ordered and after going back and forth I suggested that they remake my burrito the way I wanted it.

The manger took the burrito towards the beginning as if she was going to remake it,I followed. She stated that she is not remaking it but placing the items in a smaller burrito and to pay first. I told her I will pay once I see how my burrito was ordered. She stated that she will not make it until I pay. I left and went next door to the Thai restaurant.
