Front counter service felt a little over staffed, with somewhat disappointing customer service incident leaving a poor impression. Line for carry out was backed to the door with passing customers having to squeeze around each other to go to and from the restroom and door.
Several staff with distinctively different color uniform of unknown supervisory or management positions passed without anyone in queue being asked the name on order, pointing out that around the corner an order was waiting and ready for pickup, directing customers to form a line to break up the congested entryway, nor answering a father's checking with his son picking up an order if the bag had sauce in it/he wanted any ketchup. This was the leading frustration as I understand dinner service can be very busy, and occasionally things can be forgotten or overlooked.
I could have understand if the employee had something busy to return to, but instead of offering to answer the questions for them or holding the nearly spilling cup carrier, they simply continued to slowly transfer the weight of the drinks to the child until they could safely let go before walking away before the customer could check the bag. After the staff member returned to the bagging area with no further tasks, as another was already restocking condiments, a second was bringing items out of the kitchen and bagging the only order queued to be ready, and a third accidentally brought a drive thru dessert item to the front desk and was told by the second employee that the item had to go back to the drive thru waiting area.
Overall the service was moving quickly, the food smelt great, and customers left the front relatively quickly. Perhaps a soft touch of additional time management training or supervision could benefit the front counter staff, and thus may well have been a one off incident of dinner...
Read moreI usually go to the one in Trussville, Alabama. This was an opposite experience than what I'm used to. The girl on the headset in drive thru sounded like she'd rather be anywhere else. When I got to the window, they all but threw my food at me. There was no greeting, just "that's $10 and.... 9 cents." There was no thank you. They (clearly) just wanted me to drive away for the sake of their drive time. My fries were dumped in my bag. The sweet tea (I paid extra for a large) wasn't very sweet. I added more sugar (never had this problem at my usual spot). Then, my sandwich (a spicy chicken deluxe) was a mess. The lettuce included the white, crunchy part that no one likes eating. The pickles were stacked on top of each other on one corner. The cheese was half on, half off. They had maybe 10 cars while I was there. That's including the ones that were already in drive thru when I pulled up. There were only a couple behind me. No one was friendly here. It was about 11:30 on the first Saturday of a month. What kind of service is there normally? I'll be back in the Jackson/Pearl area again soon, but I sure won't be getting chick-fil-a...
Read moreWent to this Chick-Fil-A last night in Brandon, MS and the drive thru lines is sooooo sloooooooooooooow . Wait times are always insane there. Last time I waited about 25 minutes to get to the window. So I decide to go inside and I ordered at the counter to save time. After I order inside, I waited about 15 minutes with no results ... so I decided to go up and ask about my order. Apparently this young teenager had given the last spicy chicken sandwich to another customer about 10 minutes earlier and had decided to just cancel out my order out of convenience that he wouldn't have to deal with finding another spicy chicken sandwich. So I was waiting there while my order had already been cancelled the whole time. Nearly 30 minutes and they took my money and I still got no food. I hear complaints about this place alot. This place is not managed well ... and my friend who worked there says that they only hire teenagers and people who have served time, because they are cheaper to hire than typical adults. They need to find new management. Used to be a nice place by going...
