Fraudulent practices here! I spent over $300 buying a used console, games, and controllers here right before Christmas. I tried to return a non-functional game controller this week, valued at $30. The Brandon, MS store manager told me I am not allowed even store credit for the return. When I purchased it, I was told (and the receipt verifies) that either store credit or an exchange for the exact item is warranted. Apparently, this store manager thinks he can change the store policy when he wants. Of the over $300 I spent, the $30 store credit I was warranted is a mere 10% of what I spent. As the manager stated, "How are we supposed to make money if we give store credit like that?" My answer is: you don't make a profit when you treat good paying customers like trash.
I've been to this location for many years. I'm a big fan of buying local / keeping these brick and mortar locations open. It's sad that this manager has enough authority to cause this location to go out of business.
Update: the store manager was not a woman, it was a man with a big.. Attitude problem. The deal we struck was I can bring back a malfunctioning controller and get store credit OR a replacement. The controller I brought to return was not working. You denied me store credit which I planned to use to get a game or two. All the employees took my side and agreed that's what they had told me. The manager on duty basically made them into liars and should have honored the store policy. You can spin it any way you like, but all the other game xchange stores I called even in other states confirmed store credit...
Read morethe creepy looking white guy that works there asked me if I sorted lowest to highest on ebay when pricing the item I brought in. Also was extremely not careful with my motherboard and tried to buy it with a cpu still in it and not say anything. Everyone else is extremely nice but this guy is a scam artist. I went in with a few different computer components was given a price on my graphics car by a nice blue haired lady it was 30 or 40 bucks im pretty sure which I was happy with, She had to go do something so he steps in he is immediately less talkative and says absolutely nothing to me then after digging on the internet for 5 minutes straight he says im not sure we can take these items he then bare hand grabs the motherboard like its just a piece of cardboard and just walks off, with it dangling in the wind from his hand taking zero precaution after he just said he probably can't even buy it, if this was were it ended I wouldn't be leaving a review he then comes back says he can buy it doesnt mention the 40 to 50 dollar cpu still in it. Then after I changed my mind on those items and we go back to the graphics card he tries to say he could only do 8 dollars on it after I was already told 30 or 40. This guy is a scam do not bring your PC components here if your looking for somewhat close to there...
Read morethe workers seemed like they hated their lives and would rather be anywhere else so it was kind of awkward being in there but we found some cool pokemon cards so whatever 🙃
edit: to address to the owner’s response to my original review, neither one of the employees were wearing a mask that day. please don’t lie or make excuses for your employees’ bad attitudes
editing AGAIN to say: i just saw the edited response to my review and apparently the owner thinks i’m confused about my visit lol. neither of the employees were wearing masks WHEN I WAS IN THE BUILDING. i know what masks look like and they were NOT wearing them which is fine but don’t say they were. maybe they had them on before or i after was in there but i can’t speak for that, just what i saw. i posted my review on 9/17/23 and the owner didn’t reply until 11/4. so you looked at the cameras on 9/18 and then didn’t respond for 48 days later? smells like 🧢 to me. very weird behavior on...
