I've been going to Qdoba since they first opened in downtown Pittsburgh, it was small but always jam pack...the line out door especially during lunch! Food was very good and my favorite is the Steak Burrito Bowl, I recently retired and moved to Florida and was pleasantly surprised to find a Qdoba very close to where I live. So needless to say I started going there! It was nice change to able to dine in instead of ordering a take out. However, the past few times I've been there I noticed some changes and was a little disappointed... Here goes; the quality of food mainly the steak very fatty. I know there will be some fat especially with steak, but this was inedibly disgusting 𤮠to the point where I couldn't finish and ended up throwing it away. I didn't complain because I know sometimes things happen that are beyond control, and in all the years I've been going to Qdoba, I never ever had a problem...but this wasn't the first time! Which is why I felt compelled to write a review.. sorry! š The service with the employees was great but there was something that caught my immediate attention and a major turn-off; the servers did not have hairnets/gloves on. This was noticed when I saw one of the servers playing with his hair. (Long hair) Playing with your hair and not wearing a hairnet plus serving food without gloves is a big No No in the food industry. And now for the finale; the atmosphere... I was happy to dine in because it was always very clean. But lately not so much. Tables were not clean, food crumbs on the chairs/booth, floors were sticky where the fountain machine is and the garbage overflowing. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and couldn't wait to get out of the there... totally disgusting! 𤢠This makes me feel sad, because I always enjoyed dinning at Qdoba and can honestly say it is one of my favorite places to get a good meal at a very good price. My question is where is the Manager/Supervisor? I'm not one to nit-pic and I have never had to write a review, but after my last experience I just felt something had to be said. And just an FYI - I plan on giving it another try in hopes that the atmosphere will be better because as I mentioned Qdoba is my favorite and I love...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was SO excited to come to this place. I was counting down the days till the 27th when it said it was opening. And then I saw it open on the 26 and thought how lucky am I? Only to be completely let down. The portions were on another level (not in a good way). I get that a lot of places teach their employees to serve a certain amount but sheesh, not setting a good precedent for future times. The cheese sprinkled on my bowl looked like dust, I had to ask for more (please donāt be shy or you will be left hungry). I ordered the nachos and to be honest I never ordered their nachos before so it wouldāve been nice to be told what options I could make the nachos with.
The music was terribly loud too, people drinking champagne at the front and being super loud with gift bags that seemed to only be for their own party. I could care less for the gift bag but maybe lower the music so your employees can hear me when I repeatedly had to ask them to give me more condiments. Iām pretty sure the 5 star reviews on here are by owners/friends so I would take that with a grain of salt.
God bless the employees because they were the only ones really putting in the effort and I could tell they were overwhelmed. Not saying I wouldnāt try this place again or even change my review. But I think Iāll wait a while and see what the vibes are like in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOk, their food is amazing, however, there is a reason for an automatic 1 star. The cleanliness of the staff making the food needs attention ASAP. Your staff is required to wear gloves while preparing food; Good!
Now at the same time they wear gloves, they donāt take them off to do any non-food preparation tasks. Their Phones, common shared phones, cash register, cash, their face, other surfaces, and their co-workers hands that just came in contact with the floor. Kinda ruined the taste for the delicious food they make.
Next witnessed to-go boxes drop on the floor, and without a thought, staff picked all of them up and stacked back on the shelf. No attempts to remove or clean the boxes that were face down on the floor occurred.
Lastly, this is a small dig at them, however the staff member preparing the food complained in from of us that their coworker didnāt add cilantro to the rice. The part that got us was that she just put the cilantro-less rice on the burrito. If it was supposed to be a certain way and it is not, why would you service that to a customer.
It is clear kids are running the place not thinking of food sanitary practices and how customers might perceive the job quality...
