I had an incredible dining experience at Ilforno Ristorante Italiano.... from the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that transported me to Italy. The biggest standout was our server Anthony, ready to answer our questions or fulfill our requests he always displayed genuine enthusiasm in helping us navigate through the options.

The food was a true delight. From the delicious homemade bread rolls to the flavors were authentic and each dish was prepared with care. The homemade pasta was a standout, perfectly cooked and paired with rich, flavorful sauces that left me craving for more. It's rare to find a restaurant that pays so much attention to detail, both in presentation and taste.

The exceptional service continued throughout the afternoon, with Anthony ensuring our glasses were never empty and that we were comfortable. IL Forno is a great place great Italian food meals are a good size even for big eaters never had a bad meal there food is tremendous always fresh. The interior is nicely decorated for a night out with your wife or girl friend if you want to impress this is the place to go. Great take out food to never had one problem with take out the dinners are just as good as if you ate them there never even had to warm them up the Apizza is great just as good as any new haven pizza restaurant maybe better thin crust sauce is taste you won’t see a spot with out mozzarella and if you get a topping the pizza is covered not just in section or minced pieces . If you ordered sausage on you pizza it’s sausage cut in big chunks not tiny pieces or pepperoni it covers the whole pizza not like other places they start 4 inches from the edge IL Forno starts right at the edge. Someone surprised me with eggplant rollatini today and it made my day!! must say: veggie seekers come here for great eggplant dishes! They put it on pizza and in bread you know...! Veggie pizza! you should come here with one person or order a meal for your family or many people: they cater authentic Italian favorites. Just last week I had catered Eggplant from Eli's right across the road and it was about 3/5 stars for me, today il forno gets a 5+/5 from us great texture!!!
