Smoothie King — Restaurant in Branford

I’ve been to the Branford Smoothie King location several times within the past year, it’s been a pleasant experience meeting the staff as they’re courteous, approachable, and helpful. Recently, and unfortunately, I’ve noticed those people are no longer there. Now when I go in the staff working seems mundane, uneasy, an honestly rude. Specifically , the man working the cash register, black framed glasses , short twisted hair , darker skin, looked miserable. He didn’t give a greeting nor spoke a single word ! I didn’t receive a receipt and he had a look of disgust on his face. The atmosphere felt uneasy. The staff seemed to be rushing and uncomfortable ready to get people out and there wasn’t many people in there store. I most likely will not be returning anytime soon. Great place for good tasting healthy smoothies. I was first introduced to Smoothie King when I move to New Orleans Louisiana in 2014. My kids and I were ecstatic to see this chain has made it to next to my hometown in Branford. For the mornings, I usually go with one of the coffee blends, mostly Almond Mocha High Protein. For dinner or dessert I'll get the Peanut Power Plus. Both smoothies are packed with lots of flavor, lots of protein and low on fat. Try swapping one meal a day with one of these smoothies and you notice a difference in energy and healthy. Throw in 20 min of cardio or a steady raised heart rate and you'll definitely see some results. If you're not taking a probiotic, try it with your smoothie except the coffee blends. It was extremely busy so I was going to be understanding for the situation. After standing there for 15 minutes though and seeing 3 people waiting for online orders to be completed and all holding part of their order it became apparent there was no organization to this place. One lady ordered in store after I had gotten there and she got her drink only to return moments later saying it was wrong. I thought maybe they just missed a step and it wasn’t to far off the flavor. Well after getting the second half of my order finally and taking a sip of what seemed to be just straight cake batter I understood what she did.
