Went here tonight with my girlfriend who has a shellfish allergy. She was interested in a menu item that only listed “seafood” as an ingredient. We asked the waitress what the “seafood” was, and she could not say. I then asked if she could ask the kitchen, because if there was shellfish it is life threatening to her. In ANY restaurant (I’ve worked in the industry for 8 years), the server goes back to the kitchen to ask the chefs what’s in the food. Her words were “they don’t know either, they throw the bag out when we get it”. I don’t care if they use some sort of frozen seafood blend if the food tastes good. But in no reality is it acceptable to tell a customer “oh dude, we have no idea what’s even in our food”, nor do I believe that the kitchen just got one bag of food in the x number of years this place has been open and just never bothered to check. This waitress was actually horrible. If their food tastes good, awesome, it might be great, but that is not my issue. So, we walked out out of principle. Absolutely no eating establishment would do that, and it’s deplorable. That lack of BASIC professionalism in a restaurant means you’re not getting my money, and I’ll let everyone know to...
Read moreI wish this place was more known!! I decided to try this place last minute. My order was done within 15 minutes, I was able to order online and modify my food to my liking! The serving was definitely a shareable portion size. My fiancée got the chicken pad Thai (10/10!), and I got the vegetable paid Thai with no egg and no bean sprouts. Everything was made perfectly to order. The vegetable pad Thai has mixed veggies in it. 10/10! I’d definitely eat here again. The picture I included was what we were saving for the next day because there was a large amount! The only thing I would change is that they charge you a fee when...
Read moreWe're new to the neighborhood and ordered take-out from Siam Orchids. When I picked up my order I noticed a sign at the register that says they charge 3.99% to the entire order unless I pay cash. I understand that the credit card companies charge the business a surcharge however, the business needs to understand that allowing a credit card as a form pf payment benefits both the business and the consumer. Credit cards allow the business to accept more consumers into their establishment. You want to charge me more for the use of my credit card? You won't see me purchasing anything from Siam Orchids...
