I wish i grabbed the name of the amazing young woman who served me and my best friend today as we went for the first time. What an excellent employee you have in her! Helpful, friendly, and beyond amazing customer service. Well done to her! Now to the food. Holy. Moly. I am a simple gal, bacon egg and cheese are usually my go to, so i got the Pig and added tomato. My friend got the Fatone. Easily and hands down, the best egg sandwich i have ever eaten. I happily enjoyed that with a smashed potato on the side (amazing, especially dipped in their spicy aoili) and an iced coffee. I visited The Tasty Yolk in Branford, CT and while the food itself was good, the experience was disappointing. Ordering was also frustrating — the system is confusing, and the staff seemed to struggle with getting it right.

Most concerning is the pricing: I was charged $27 for a simple gluten-free wrap with six egg whites. That’s outrageous for a breakfast item, regardless of whether the eggs are organic. It feels unjustified and makes it hard to return as a regular customer.

If you’re looking for reasonable, fairly priced, quality breakfast, this isn’t the place. The food tastes fine, but until they get their food costs, pricing, and logistics figured out, I cannot recommend...
