We wanted a great hamburger for lunch and Danna's Google rating was so high we thought it must be good. We arrived at 1pm on a Wednesday in the winter - in other words off season. The place was packed. The first problem was finding parking as the lot is tiny. Then when you walk in you have to order your food and are given a table number stand - people were standing around holding the numbers because there were no tables available. There was no staff clearing tables as patrons left. Fortunately, we didn't have to wait too long, and had to clean a vacant table ourselves. It was a rushed, hectic, and chaotic environment. The casher was not interested in customer service - when we asked questions we received curt replies regarding side items. When I gave her my AmEx card she acted like I was trying to palm off Monopoly money with a disgusted tone informing me that "We don't take this."
Then the credit card receipt - like a lot of them these days - included a space for a tip. This is becoming ridiculous - no service has been provided yet and they want a tip.
The burgers were hot, but greasy and lacking in flavor. The Diet Coke carbonation was off so it tasted bad. The side order of beans was less than a 1/2 cup in size and was nothing but heated up pork and beans. The onion rings were hot, but only passable - nothing special. We paid the typical high Branson prices and have had better meals at a more reasonable cost at McDonald's.
How Danna's has such high rating on Google is inexplicable. We will not return. Fortunately, there are much better options in...
Read moreMy family and I make the trip from Texas to Branson at least once a year. We stay in close proximity to Danna's. This would be our second time visiting the restaurant. We walk in a the place is pretty much full. A young man approaches us in line and asks how many are in our party. Six we said. Ok, that table right there he points, is yours. He puts a "reserved" sign on it. So that was one thing we didn't have to worry about. Which was great. When visiting a restaurant more than once, I usually try and get something different each time. So this time I try the stuffed baked potato. And being from Texas I had to add chopped beef to it. My wife got the pulled pork plate. The beef on the potato was perfect with just the right amount of smoke. My wife's pork was the same, just delicious. Add just a kiss of their signature bbq sauce and it was heaven on a plate. We also got a couple desserts to share with the table. We got the banana's foster and the chocolate brownie. Banana's foster wasn't bad. The brownie, not so much. Everyone at the table had a bite and the consensus was that was one bite to much. But I highly recommend Danna's BBQ to anyone visiting Branson. Just don't order...
Read moreOMGOSH!!!!!!!! There is no other place to eat bbq in Branson!!!!!! We have ate at many with 5 stars and was so disappointed. This place is truly amazing. From the tender meat to the amazing wait staff where do I start??!!! We met Noah and Karen when we came in. They helped us figure out what we would need. I’m gluten sensitive so it was easy peasy. We got the food and my half chicken and I’m telling ya, you DO NOT need any teeth at all to eat this chicken. It melts in your mouth after 2 chews. Never in my life of all the traveling we do have I had meat this delicate. My husband had ribs and I don’t even like ribs but I went to try and once it hit my tongue i cried out in delight!!! Wow!!! Top notch. You will not be disappointed. This place is truly amazing!!!!! 5 stars all around. Angie is new but was amazing as well as very attentive and available if we needed anything so was Noah. They made our experience truly awesome alongside the food which was above and beyond!!! Love love love this place!!! We will be back❤️
