It is with great sadness that I have experienced very bad customer service from a company that I had high regards for. We all eat out lots some of us host party small and large and have food catered. All restaurants have problem no matter how good they are. The character of any given business or restaurants is who they employ and how they resolve problem because we all have them. I employed a local restaurant to cater a special surprise event for me of about 60 people. I met with the manager four weeks before the event and placed my order expressed a few concerns and was assured it would be great. I then stopped by the Friday before a Sunday event to ensure all was good and again was assured it would be great! Well since I am writing this review I am sure that you can guess that it was far from great! On the day of the event I had scheduled a 2:30pm pick up by the delivery and set up driver which is only 5 minutes from us. The driver did not show up thill 3:30pm for a party that started at 3:30pm then refused help from everyone trying to get it set before the surprise at 3:45pm and he refused all help many times! Needless to say the food was not set and to hide that all guest stood in front of the food table for the surprise. I would have hoped that this would be the end of my complaint but unfortunately not so. Spaghetti was COLD sandwiches where not cut all the way through so when you tried to pick up a piece the entire sandwich fell apart making for huge waste. With all of that the flavor was great and even better once it was hot. This was a special event that I truly had wanted to go smoothly and I trusted it with a company that I thought could do that. I am truly disappointed in what happened but more bothered by how it was handled after the fact. On Monday I went to the restaurant at 11:00 am to express my concerns with the way things went I was assured that I would receive a phone call from the person that I had been working with. Well over a week goes by and I still have not heard from anyone. I stop back at the restaurant to express my concerns that no one has called me and once again I am assured that someone will call by Friday. I did get a call from the person that I had been working with and was truly disappointed in the resolution that he thought was appropriate. I have done business with this restaurant for over a year and spent a good deal of money. To have him only offer to except blame for not calling back, that is driver was stubborn and that he would work with his kitchen staff on retraining. He never offered any compensation to me for having to deal with cutting sandwich the loss of food because of it or the food being cold or late. I lost time with my guest having to handle what I paid to have them do. When he sensed I was not happy he had the nerve to ask me what I wanted! Good customer service takes care of good customers. We have always been good to all of our servers, bartenders, and delivery drivers and generous with our tips. For this reason I am truly disappointed and will have to find a new Italian restaurant because BiBa’s Italian Restaurant Sprout Springs Rd, Flowery Branch, GA did not live up to a good customer service in my opinion. It is with great upset because I do enjoy the food and the conversation at the bar however I can’t and won’t condone bad...
Read moreI'm really sad to say I likely won't be back. This was one of my favorite restaurants in town but I haven't been able to go for a couple years. I've been craving it for weeks and finally was able to and unfortunately was not what I expected.
While I understand higher prices due to inflation I do not agree with using cheaper distributors and raising prices to increase your profits. My favorite dish has always been the chicken Alfredo but today was a let down because what is normally delicious and flavorful now it is bland. I also do not agree with providing what amounts to approximately a thigh worth of chicken for 5.95 but let it go because when I ordered I was under the impression that it would be worth it as it has always been. Until the bill came and my daughter got the children's Alfredo and I was charged more than the meal (4.95) for the 4 tiny pieces of chicken on hers, another 5.95 for less than 1/4 of the meat that was on a full meal for the same price. The salad has also been diminished, barely enough to cover the bottom of the bowl and over half of that was almost burnt croutons. The only thing that was as expected was the rolls which were just as delicious as they have always been, though you get much less than you used to, used to be that they brought you enough for 2 per person at the table and offered you to take some home with your left overs that is no longer the case but perfectly flavored, crunchy and fluffy.
One of her servers took so long that another one took my order and she was oblivious so she came to take it again and seemed annoyed when I said we had already ordered. Then she proceeded to try and take our garlic rolls 2 separate times, once the basket that was clearly not empty and the second was the roll I had on a plate that I was actively eating as she walked up and I slide up to make room for my plate. She wasn't asking how things were or if we needed anything but kept watching us like we were bothering her for being in her section so I just asked for boxes meet minutes after getting our entrees.
The hours of operation have been a mess for a couple years now which is why I haven't been able to make it in but the weathered marker written hours on the doors should have been a red flag as to what to expect this restaurant has become. It's all about the profit margins for this establishment now, there is no longer a family feeling, I used to love talking to the owner she was proud of her restaurant and making sure her customers were satisfied, I didn't see her the last few times I went or when I came today, whoever is in charge now is not doing her restaurant justice.
Very sad outcome, I guess I will be going back to olive garden where even though they are a franchise they seem to take more pride in their...
Read moreSeems to me that we are slow learners. Initially, this place was wonderful, but has been so disappointing over the last couple of years. We don't go often, but tonight will be the last time! Previous experience that was disappointing was a large family that had the entire center of the room and had children (4 of them) running circles around the restaurant and all other diners were obviously unhappy, but managements response was "they are regulars, so we can't really say anything".
Putting that aside, our son wanted to go tonight for his early birthday dinner. Our first tip off should have been that no one seemed to be our waitress, after some corner discussions between a couple of gilrs, one showed up. We ordered an appetizer and drinks. When she brought our drinks, we ordered our meal. My salad came out, no rolls, no appetizer, we ask for rolls, they finally came out. 7 - 10 minutes later my husbands pizza came out, we ask about the appetizer and our dumb founded waitress disappeared and seems to be having a conference with someone else at the computer and came back and said it will be right out. We said 'cancel it, our dinner is soon to come', then another 3 - 5 minutes our sons calzone, then another 5 - 7 minutes my chicken parmesan came out. Very disgusting dish of flattened chicken swimming in a canned sauce. (which reminded me of a previous visit, where I ordered a chicken dish and it came out swimming in a sauce, I suppose I had blocked that out of my memory). Side of spaghetti with overcooked pasta swimming in a canned sauce. Waitress offered more rolls, we said yes, they didn't come, she came back and ask us again if we wanted rolls and we said yes again, then she came back and we had to ask for the rolls, which never showed up. It was terrible food, terrible service and highly disappointing for spending over $50. She ask if I wanted to bring my uneaten dish home and I told her it was terrible and declined a to-go box. It seems a mute point to even discuss this with management. There were several other issues at this meal, but not worth going on any further. Just don't waste your time or money. Go ahead an visit Domino's, you will be...
