I had a deeply disappointing and troubling experience at the AT&T store located at 1980 Friendship Rd, Suite 101, Hoschton, GA (Store #7CDZ) on April 13, 2025, at 2:01 PM. I was assisted by a sales associate named Timothy L., and I feel compelled to share what happened to warn others. I had recently switched phone carriers and was added to my husband’s AT&T account. During my visit, Timothy informed me of a promotion for the iPhone 16 Plus at $10.99/month supposedly available when activating a new line or upgrading an existing one with an eligible unlimited plan. Here’s where the issue begins. I came in with an iPhone 14 Pro Max. Timothy told me I had to trade in my current phone the iPhone 14 Pro Max in order to qualify for the promotion. He explained that I’d receive up to $1,200 in trade-in credit, and the new phone would be essentially paid off through that credit. Based on this representation, and placing my trust in AT&T and their representative, I handed over my iPhone 14 Pro Max on the spot and completed the transaction. However, days later, I noticed something very concerning. When I checked the AT&T app, it showed no record of any trade-in. It simply showed that I received the promotion, but no mention of my iPhone 14 Pro Max being traded in at all. I visited another AT&T store to seek clarity, and they told me that a trade-in was not even required to receive the promotion. In other words, I was misled. Worse, there is no record of what happened to my iPhone 14 Pro Max, and I’m left wondering: Was it never processed? Was it stolen? Where did it go? To make matters worse, I have witnesses both my husband and sister were with me when I handed over the phone. This experience has completely shattered my trust in AT&T and this store in particular. Not only was I given false information, but I also feel like I was deceived and robbed. At minimum, this was a serious mishandling of my trade-in — at worst, it’s theft. I have reached out to AT&T and will be escalating this as far as necessary, but I want others to be very cautious. Do not trust verbal promises. Get everything in writing. And above all, do not do business at this store. I strongly advise others to avoid this location entirely. What happened to me should never happen to...
Read moreWas not very happy with my experience. I had an issue with a phone and the online tech told me I needed to return the phone, unopened, and the nearest att could handle that for me. When I went in, I was told no, you don’t need to do that, let’s just set the other SIM card I ordered for a bring your own device. Phone activated and going. Got notice that the promo I had received was voided due to transfer of service within 90 days and was hit with full fee. That also kicked off a week long mess trying to get everything all worked out. I finally went to ATT in Flowery Branch and they were very helpful. Made the comment that the person who helped me really should not be doing that and it makes that store look bad along with causing me a week and several hours trying to fix the issue. I ended up just closing all lines and account and staying with Verizon it was...
Read moreThis is a good location to come to if you have celphone plan anxiety. By that I mean that it is not a high traffic location, which means there isn't alit of customer related hustle and bustle going on around you to make you feel pressured or rushed. The rep I worked with was very patient with my questions. Although the store itself us not at fault for this, I do find it unusual that I could get a better deal as a brand new AT&T customer than I can as a person who has been with them over 10 years. What kind if middle management boomer set that ridiculous policy? Customers should be rewarded for loyalty, not penalized by being shut out of promotional offers. But don't hold that against at&t stores, and specifically this store. You'll be more comfortable here than at a high traffic location like the Mall of GA buford...
