Huey Magoo's Chicken Tenders — Restaurant in Braselton

Update on September 8th 2025: Im decreasing my rating because since my first review ive gotten the banana pudding at least 3 more times-- and they keep selling me runny pudding! Why are you selling UNSET/ un-chilled pudding? Id rather you tell me its not ready or that youre sold out! I asked today if it was set (because its become a habit to ask now) and your server lied to me and said yes. Theres no excuse for giving your customers unfinished product that is meant to be ready-made. Do better.

Lemme just say-- BIG shout out to Gavin our cashier and server, he is so so good and very hospitable. It was me and my husbands first time coming here and he got us some samples of the breaded and grilled chicken. Our food was great! Our only disappointment was the banana pudding not being made well (was like melted icecream consistency), and he apologized and gave us baked cookies to make it right, even offering to mention him next time to get banana pudding at no cost. My goodness, we did not expect to be treated so well. Husband said during our meal that he thinks he might stop going to Zaxbys altogether if Hueys started making loaded chicken bacon ranch fries 🤣 My interest in Zaxbys has been dying for a bit now, and I think now theyre dead to me after today LOL. Not just because of the great service, which I know was just an incredible bonus, but I think the food alone would have had me at hello. The salad for me was top tier-- they have the actual healthy good greens. I wish I could've taken pictures of our food, thats my only regret... aside from being torn wether to get fried or grilled chicken. The grilled chicken actually seemed to have more flavor to me when trying the samples. Oh well, ill just have to get it next time!

We don't come here very often but are usually pleased when we do.

However, it is probably best to avoid it on Sunday afternoons. We ordered two 5-piece tender meals on a Sunday afternoon. It was definitely busy and they seemed to be prioritizing to-go orders, but after 45 minutes, the restaurant beginning to empty out, and all the people waiting for to-go orders cleared, we still hadn't received our food. Several of the people before us were gone and many of the folks that came in more than 20 minutes after us were now gone, even after several had to get their order re-made due to it being wrong or someone else's order.

After going to the register, I was asked if I had gotten my order yet. They called back to the kitchen for the meals; they were told it would be another 8-10 minutes for the tenders we ordered, which would be close to an hour wait.

I asked to have the meals refunded, which they obliged, and we left. Probably won't be back here on a Sunday afternoon for a while;...

I have to say I am not a person to write reviews or do surveys but had to do this one. Upon arriving to Huey Magoos on 7310 Spouts Spring Rd, Flowery Branch., Ga, 30542, I have to say the restaurant is amazing. Once we arrived we were nicely greeted. We had ordered our food and sat down. As we were having our food handed to us we realized part of our order was missing. I mentioned to our servant we were missing a 3 piece meal. The young lady checked our receipt and said we only ordered 2 meals opposed to 3 meals. I had mentioned I would go and purchase the missing meal. The young lady Stephanie utilized her amazing customer service and said “ no worries you stay put and I’ll go and get the meal you were missing”. The training that was given to Stephanie was practiced by her to the fullest extent. She is an amazing servant who made a rapid decision to make things right for the customer.
