First time going to Alza Osteria. It's tucked inside a mini mall on the corner of Birch and Kraemer. When walking up it's not to much to be impressed, but walking in, it had a simple sleek look and feel. We were greeted by friendly staff and quickly seated as we beat the dinner rush. No sooner as we were seated we were greeted by our waitress and served drinks quickly. My wife and I eat a low carb diet and they have zoodle options in place of their regular pasta. Upon request they also have a Cauliflower crust for their pizzas. It's a small size, but it is very good. Alsza had a great wine and extensive beer selection. We ordered their Chicken Piccata (grilled) with half Zoodles and steamed veggies, buffalo wings, caprese salad and a Cauliflower Carnivore Pizza. The food came out quick and was delicious. The kids menu is simple but the portion sizes are perfect. This place is kid friendly and the food is great. I'd recommend this place to anyone who is looking for great food at a decent price. Don't forget they also have low carb options as well. We'll definitely be going back.

My sister had an evening flight today, and we were so lucky to find this place! Everything was efficient, the food was delicious, and the service was so friendly. We actually just found it randomly on Google Maps! First of all, our server Taylor was truly amazing. We called ahead to check if the restaurant was open and whether we needed a reservation, and she kindly answered all our questions. When we arrived, she quickly seated us, asked what we’d like to drink, and attentively answered our questions. We ordered two plates of pasta, which came with bread and salad. The pasta was absolutely delicious! The white wine clam pasta had a rich garlic flavor—so fragrant that we couldn’t stop eating. By the time we finished both plates, we were full, but completely satisfied and happy. this restaurant, along with this wonderful server, gave us the warmest feeling. I highly recommend this place!

Not being located in busy areas, no fancy signs or decorations, yet, it is really a local gem. We ordered calamari as a starter, it was good, with the right amount of breading and a nice marinara dipping sauce. However, the complimentary bread was more surprising. The bread crust was thin and crispy, and the herb butter was delicious. Our main courses were clam linguine and salmon Mediterranean. We selected white wine sauce for the clam linguine, and it matched perfectly with the dish. For salmon Mediterranean, the skin was super crispy but the inside was still soft and moisted. Delicious! However, I found it slightly too salty for me. Overall, we loved this restaurant and would definitely go back for more! They could be quite busy during the weekend nights, better make reservations to secure a table.

REVIEW BASED ON CUSTOMER SERVICE, DID NOT GET TO TRY FOOD

We walked into an empty establishment at 456 for a party of 3, my wife, myself, and our 5 year old son and someone from the kitchen said that there would be someone with us. Someone walked up a few moments later and asked us if we had a reservation. I looked at him, then the empty restaurant and said no we don't. He proceeded to look at his screen and said would a 6pm reservation be okay? My wife and I looked at each other and were utterly shocked, it's not even 5pm in an empty restaurant. He then proceeded to say the weekends are their busy time and they have a lot of reservations at 530 and 6pm. We said no it's not alright, we were not going to leave and wait for over an hour. He apologized, but someone please explain to me how we couldn't be seated or served? This is beyond anything I've ever seen. Am I in bizzaro world? No thanks Alza Osteria, I won't be heading here anytime soon since it says nowhere we needed reservations to eat at an empty restaurant. Especially because just now, I'm looking at Google right now and it shows less than 15 min wait and usually gets busy at 6pm. All I wanted was a few pies and if they're taking to-go orders on the phone as I left, I should have been accommodated to sit in an empty restaurant. Since I wasn't even offered that to-go avenue I sure as hell ain't asking to take a to-go order from an empty restaurant, who never offered that or provided any rational explanation why we couldn't be seated and served. We purposely came early to avoid any dinner rush and simply wanted to try out a food place new to us. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere this evening. Such a shame for a business to turn down people when there are so many other businesses doing the best they can to survive during times like this. I guess since their business survived during 2020 they are willing to turn down new customers...

Cutest server I’ve ever seen šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

Update: I still visit this fine establishment a handful of times a year, I wish I lived closer, for I would eat there on a weekly basis. Alas, perhaps it is for the best that I can not make it here as often as I’d prefer. For if I had it my way, my waistline would grow and my wallet shrink (though the dishes are appropriately priced)

The service and this one sever in particular is an absolute delight and just as striking as the first time I laid eyes on such a beautiful blessing not commonly found in nature. Her demeanor and personality reach heights that should be considered impossible by someone of her stature, but somehow she manages to bring an extraordinary energy with such grace and elegance that I can’t help but stutter when she asks me what I will be having.

The food is unmatched, with such fresh taste, my tastebuds can hardly contain themselves and I begin to salivate in such a manner that is reminiscent of a rabid beast, this all with just the mere thought of placing my order. Such flavors, textures and and oral explosions should be reserved for the gods, not us mortals.

Finally, I always make sure to thank the chef. The owner is usually present and is willing to to enlighten the customer with stimulating conversations. Of course, if planning to come in on a weekend, I recommend making reservations, I have yet to see a slow night at the ever wonderful Alza...

Wow. So impressed with this restaurant. I hadn't heard of it but was using the Slice app and it had a lot of good reviews so I decided to try it. I'm so glad I did! I placed an order for pick up. They were really busy when I got there, but the hostess was so nice when I walked in and directed me to take out. I waited a few minutes for my order but not bag considering how busy. I didn't realize the entrees came with a side so I appreciated that the guy helping me offered that. He also said he would fix that on the Slice app. Got myself food to the car and checked it out and it was the wrong entree. I took it back inside and they handled it perfectly. They apologized because they didn't have my correct food so I had to wait until they made a new one. They offered me a drink while I waited. And once my food was ready they actually gave me the additional entree that they had originally given me, plus my correct order and a free ice cream. I was really impressed the way they handled it. And not to mention the food was amazing!! Both entrees we phenomenal add well as the bread and garlic butter, the side salad and one of the best Spumoni ice creams I've ever had. I wish I lived closer, but can't wait to go back when I'm in the area. And I've already told a bunch of others to check it out. Hope they keep doing...
