Reborn Coffee — Restaurant in Brea

I am so so happy a good coffee spot opened up near my house!! I heard it was opening and was praying that it would be good.. and it is!

The decor is nice and hipster-y, they have a nice outdoor seating area, and their chairs are comfy.

They have so many different options to choose from (including athletic clothes and bottles hahaha). We got the

Reborn-ade flight ($15): sunshine was my fave (yuzu-ice blended), then beauty (pomegranate-refreshing), then youth (green plum) and then the detox (kale lemongrass and mint). They were all good but the detox was a little kale-y for my taste, but my mom loves that one. You have to mix them! Individual juices ($5) come with a mason jar w/lid!

Cold brew flight ($15): we subbed one for the nitro cold brew. Refreshing and yummy!

I also got a poppy seed bagel w/ blueberry cream cheese. They use something with sprouts.. I am not sure what that means but regardless it was tasty haha. I def want to try their ube bagel next time.

We got a sample of the A2 soft serve and it was SO good. I will 100% get that next time I'm craving ice cream.

The first thing I want to point out is that sometimes the baristas will take too long chit-chatting one of the customers. They will see me (or one of my co-workers) walk in and continue to chit-chat with the customer at the register. It makes me feel disregarded. I work in customer service and when I see someone else I need to take to care of, that is my priority. And that should be the priority anywhere. Otherwise, GREAT COFFEE GREAT MATCHA and great atmosphere. Just kinda sucks that I work in this shopping center, and I don’t have all the time in the world like the pilates girls who wanna chat up the baristas. Im on a time crunch. Please train and fix this because you never know who is walking into your business. This has already happened twice this week to me and some co-workers. When Reborn opened a few years back, my prayers for a good coffee shop in Brea were answered. I cannot recommend this perfectly situated establishment enough.

I love everything about this place: the quality of the brews, the staff, and the ambience both in and out of the shop. Every time I’ve visited, the baristas always greet you with a friendly and down to earth hello (not the kind that you feel is required of them from management). The quality of the coffee is amazing; one can easily see how they’ve won the award for best cold brew two years in a row.

I’ve yet to try the baked goods provided by the Rye Company, but having been a patron of the Rye Truck when it was in Tustin I’m sure they’re great.

All in all, Reborn has been a godsend amongst the plethora of Starbucks and Coffee Beans around these parts. You’ll be glad you stopped in.
