Sy Donuts — Restaurant in Brea

This is an honest review. I really want to like this place, it is conveniently close to my job and.. well, they have doughnuts! I have worked in this area for 8 years so I have visited this place on and off for the past 8 years. This is not based on a single visit.

First and foremost, every time I walk in here, the couple behind the counter (the owners, I assume) act like they're doing me a favor by selling me their product. No matter how cheerful and polite I am, it is not reciprocated, which makes me feel unwelcome and rushed. So I only stop by here when I absolutely have to. You know, when I need to buy donuts for the office, etc.

Also, the doughnuts are okay, not horrible, but not amazing or anything. Just okay. Today I stopped because I had a craving for a Cronut. And it was honestly horrible, I didn't finish it. The coffee is watery, again, not horrible, but definitely not great coffee.

Price. The prices in my opinion are not indicative of the quality of their product. They're a bit high, in my opinion.

So over all, this place is below average and it should be avoided unless you need donuts for the office, where the people won't complain because they're getting a free donut. If you want quality donuts and good customer service,...

We found this donut shop about two years ago when our son started his private tennis lessons in Brea. It was by accident when looking for some coffee and donuts while waiting during the lessons. They by far have the freshest donuts around. When I say “around”,  I live in Downey near a Randy's donut and I make the 23 miles trip to Brea for these fresh pieces of goodness at SY donuts. #1 Not friendly #2 Over priced I Googled this place to find another donut shop for a Ham and cheese croissant. The ham and cheese was mediocre. Other shops that I've been going to since I moved into the area,Are the same price But his are lacking The main ingredient which is ham and cheese.
