Came here for a birthday occasion on a Saturday evening; it wasn't yet filled up at 5:30, but by the time our meal and dessert were finished (1.5 hours later), it was clear that the Phoenix Club was a popular local destination. Forgive me, I am a poor judge of beer as I rarely drink, so this review will have to be all about the food and service . The food, based on this single experience at this restaurant, was quite satisfactory. Mine was the Jaeger schnitzel, and I got to taste the selections of others in my party, including a breaded chicken cutlet, cheese plate, fresh-baked pretzels, apple strudel, black forest cake, German chocolate cake, and the German Cuban sandwich. All pretty good, no standouts, although the Jaeger schnitzel was the best entree, and the black forest cake, the favorite of the desserts. I did wish I'd ordered the Rumptoff, as it was reportedly delicious, but hindsight is 20/20. In all, the atmosphere was simple, casual, family-friendly and straightforward (like the service). Thank goodness, no annoying oompah music blasted during our visit. The Phoenix Club is German, but they don't feel the need to be over-the-top about it. That's a win!

Got the craving for some German food and decided to plug into Google German food around my area. Even though it was a little bit of a drive, it was well worth it. The place is great. At the time they were having a party someone's birthday but that didn't take away from the experience. Service was great here and the food was absolutely delicious. Will be trying different beers next time and of course different food. Also, if you're not sure about what beer to order, order a flight, the servers there really know their beer and can recommend some good ones. With the flight you get to taste several without overdoing it.

Good food and Excellent beer! Been here a handful of times now, food is usually really good and the service is quick. They have some of TVs to watch the games on. Plenty of great German beer on tap and sometimes you’ll walk in and they’ll have one beer on special for the day, thats always nice. Not sure how busy it gets, I usually go on Saturday afternoons the times I’ve been and it’s usually not to busy. I went once for a Euro Cup game and it was really busy. Stop by and have a good beer and a relaxing time.
