My girlfriend and I went to this place. It's best to explain in the dialogue as follows: Vince: Hey! They don't take credit cards. I wanted ribs. Ok I guess I'll get something cheaper. Pat, don't you think they would do better taking credit cards? Pat: No, I'm familiar with the same type of places near Maywood, and they do well and don't take credit cards. It's a hassle. How long did you say they were open? Vince: 20 or 30some years, maybe more...not sure. Pat: Well, there you go! You can't knock success! Vince: Why are they giving me free white bread? that's not even healthy bread.Look I think it's wrong they don't take credit cards. I would have bought more today. If my little eBay business can take credit cards why can't they??? I'm giving them 4 stars. Pat: Give them 5 stars! You have to take credit cards at eBay b/c you wouldn't sell anything at eBay under your qualityservice44 business w/o doing so. GIVE THEM 5 STARS!! Their food...
Read moreThe lady that took my order was very pleasant as were the people waiting for their orders. They only take CASH. I ordered a large rib tip with hot links. The rib tips were good, but there was much more straight up rib meat then rib tips. The meat was fall off the bone and I personally like a little more chew. I had a mix of hot and sweet sauce and they have good sauce with a nice kick. The hot links had good flavor and I had a few bites that had a kick but for the most part I would say they were mild links at best.
I would definitely go back because the flavors were very good and I rarely judge a place on one visit unless the service or food is bad and the management is defending the bad service or food. This was not the case here. The food was good and tasty just not really...
Read moreWhat a waste of money! I don't know if the rib are baked then barbecued or barbecued then baked. Or boiled first!Amazes me that they call those tips that are so badly cut tips. They ought to be ashamed of theirselves. Essentially you paying for a plate of mush . I bought a large tip and couldn't recognize more than two tips. The rest just looked like 1 pan scraps with fries thrown over it. Any rib joint where you can't see your food being prepared raises questions . That is absolutely not how you cut tips. I want to like this place but they're not being honest with this. They are not too many barbecue places on the Southside anymore. Their lack of concern for the customers shows that they're fully aware of it. The worst...
