Unpleasant attitude by the pokerfaced old man, and a soulless blank stare by his lanky blonde coworker. The East Asian-looking lady with the glasses is the only one with manners, a friendly smile & customer service skills. She had to jump in because the other two seemed scatterbrained the second I uttered a sentence. I thanked them on my way out & she's the only one who responded. The old man looked frustrated & frazzled from the moment I walked in. No greeting, no smile..nothing on his face but annoyance.
It's always amusing whenever I pick up food, I enunciate my name, and they reply with "Whooo?" as if I'm speaking an alien language. Pretty rude way to talk to customers instead of saying "excuse me?". Americans of European descent are in dire need of diversity training - although ironically, they are diverse themselves & represent the single biggest immigrant group. I speak multiple languages & I am more fluent than most Americans, yet they act puzzled when they hear someone with an accent. Truly pitiful..2 stars only because the ham sandwich was good (albeit smaller than usual) and that one lady...
Read moreI didn't get to absorb the atmosphere of this specific JJ because I was in the store for so little. My Sandwich was done before I could put my wallet away, which is impressive. There were only two tables and they were by super foggy windows, so I don't really recommend eating in-- I know I didn't. I don't think JJ is supposed to be an eat-in place so that's fine.
The young gentleman that took my order wasn't actively rude. However, when I handed him my card for payment, he swiped the card and then placed the card two feet away from me on the counter without saying a word. That doesn't seem like a big deal, but it's the details that matter when it comes to customer service. If I hand someone my card, they need to hand it back to me. If I had rudely placed my card on the counter, then he is allowed to do the same... but I didn't. Still, the employee that made my sandwich thanked me and even smiled. This saved the transaction. Also, the sandwich...
Read moreI'm here to say goodbye to JJ's because I'm just over it! The last few times I got sandwiches there the sandwiches kept shrinking and the prices kept going up. I was so disappointed with my last sandwich because it hardly had any meat or toppings on there and the bread just seemed flat and skinny. I get what the economy is doing to us, everything has gotten very expensive, but this is getting ridiculous! I paid $10 for that measly, tiny, little sandwich. I'm just going to have to keep making them at home or take my business elsewhere and find another competitor that will make a great sandwich equal to the price tag. I don't mind paying the price but the sandwich has to be of equal quality. This has been happening the last 3-4 times I went there and I'm just done. I'm sure a lot of people out there agree with me, they are taking full advantage of us and not giving us quantity or quality anymore so there goes my business with...
