I'm from out of town visiting family and was looking for a restaurant that accommodated the various diet needs of my family and their menu worked for us. Our server was great. I thought their pricing was inconsistent though, with some things being over priced for the type of restaurant and quality of food. For example, my 3 egg omelet (that included hash browns and toast or pancakes) was the same price as getting a dish of fruit, cottage cheese, and toast. The kitchen had a few mess ups in our food. The wrong cheese was used in my mom's omelet, and an entire jalapeño pepper was inside of my spinach and feta omelet. So weird. I was really caught off guard by the sudden spiciness. I didn't find it though until I was eating the 2nd half of it the next morning though.

Decided to try this place because it got good reviews but it was not worth the money… food was overpriced for the quality.. also probably the WORST “homemade “ tuna salad sandwich I have ever had! It was almost inedible! A mushy pink mess that just tasted like dill pickles…. $ 12.99 really??? The chicken flatbread sandwich had more flavor but for $16!… NOPE… also the reviews that say fresh rolls with soup is false… they are individually vacuum sealed that can be bought from a restaurant supply store so they last forever … coffee, milk and juice will cost you $4 a glass!!! Will never return.. our bill was $55 then left a $11 cash tip so it was almost $70 for mediocre food. Go to Cracker Barrel or Country House… much bigger portions and better quality

My experience is ALWAYS AMAZING HERE! Always! The owner is a sweetheart! ❤️💕❤️ The food is Always Great cooked food. I was there with my fiance on Thursday Evening. He got the Stuffed Cabbage with Mash, burger and fries and cream of chicken soup! and I got the BLT and Veggie Soup. ALL THE FOOD IS ALWAYS AMAZING! The staff is kind, funny and loving. This is such a sweet family spot. I've NEVER gotten bad food or customer service here. It's always great. Thank you 😍😍❤️ The cold slaw that came with the sandwich was so creamy and delicious. The tomatoes were soooooo fresh. Like grandma's garden kind of fresh. I will try everything here! Something new each time I go! The food is that good. 😋😋👌

It was an awful experience and ILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN..

We arrives and everything seemed okay but when we sat down it took a while for the surver to come to our table. Remind you, it was 3am. So it wasn't busy.. Our server had a slightly rude attitude like she didn't wanna be there. We brushed it off and let it go.

We recieved our soup first which actually tasted good. But then... We got our main dish............... I got a steak and cheese sandwhich and my cousin got a burger. My cousin asked for well done and there was still pink in the middle. It was also very plain... My sandwhich wasn't even sautade together. It tasted like everything was just thrown together and chopped poorly. The worst part was that my breading was so soggy that when I tried to pick up my sandwich it just fell apart and all my steak and cheese fell through the side. It was disapointing. i didnt even get to really eat it.. I just picked at it. Also. My meat looked slightly silver.. What ever that means..

Then when we went up to the counter to pay the lady was pushing buttons on her computer and refused to acknowledge that we were there for two minutes exactly once I started keeping track. (she was older with dark hair. Looked like a manager) She could have at least said "ill be with you in a moment" instead of just completely ignoring us. Also, she never even asked how everything was. Just gave me the receipt and hovered over me watching while I was signing and trying to write a tip. Before even taking my cousins money for her bill..It was very irritating.

As we were walking out the door, the people behind us were paying and I heard her ask how their food was.

Great customer service guys... Ill NEVER go...

Ever since we left Wheaton and thus Seven Dwarves over twelve years ago, we've been looking for the small family restaurant where, as the saying goes, everyone knows your name. (And you know theirs too.) We didn't find it in Bolingbrook, so now we're looking around the Tinley area. While I'm not sure Olympia Star will be that place - it'll take several trips to know that and certainly no one could replace Sam and Emmers - it's great in all the ways that matter!

The atmosphere here is inviting and the restaraunt sparkling clean and bright. The service is absolute perfection. Our server was both warm and friendly without being fake or syrupy as well as quick and attentive without rushing us or hovering. Between the atmosphere and the server it was a pleasure to eat there.

All of the food was good - nothing truly spectacular, perhaps, but quite good. There were five of us and we all ordered totally different meals - from skillets to scrambled eggs to chopped steak - and all of us were very happy with our food. Everything was hot, filling, and full of flavour.

Their prices are perhaps a smidgen higher than a "pure" family restaraunts, but it's only by a few dollars. As a really rough estimate, I'd say the meals average $12-$15. The menu is fairly large though, so you can almost certainly find something to suit your tastes and wallet.

In short, I highly...

This restaurant would be considered a "Greek family restaurant". I often wonder if they just have a base plan they use for all of these restaurants as most of them have been opened in the '80s have menus the size of a novel and they're still going. The food here was actually not too bad although the Greek potatoes were extremely dry with no sauce of any kind. The waitress told us that it depends on who is in the kitchen is what kind of food you going to get. The chicken parmesan for some reason use a grilled chicken which was not seasoned in any way and was dry as a bone. They smother the chicken in mozzarella cheese I'm guessing with the hopes of seasoning the chicken or hiding the fact that it's so dry. They really should use a fried breast instead of a grilled one. The meat sauce was pretty good though. The Greek chicken comes in two sizes, half chicken (which takes half an hour to cook) or you can get the breast but for some reason they charge the same price. The chicken was bone dry and was moderately flavored. The rice was really good though. The chicken and rice soup was delicious though a bit thick and floury. The restaurant decor is standard fare although they did have a really cool Christmas village which I highly recommend checking out. Overall not a bad restaurant, great if you are coming off of a bender or a late night out as they are...
