03/01/2025 Upon ordering, it was already an awful wait. A lady answered the speaker and another worker rudely cut her off and told me to wait. I waited two minutes in to until the rude employee took my order. I only ordered a chicken sandwich only pickle with a chocolate biscuit, she had a very bad attitude and couldn’t understand that I only wanted the sandwich and charged me for a dinner. I noticed that my order was wrong, so I walked into the store only to be approached by a rude female employee dressed in black attire with her long braids and had a headset. She had a piss poor attitude when he unlocked the door and asked what was wrong with my order. I explained to her that she charged me for a dinner and not just the sandwich. She said she charged me correctly. She overcharged me. That’s stealing. My total was $9.01 I should’ve paid $7.53 for two items. Then she took my receipt and I guess talked to her manager, a heavy set woman who had on a orange employee shirt and apron who was clearly making food claimed to be the manager and said that the female employee charged me for a dinner because it was cheaper. NO IT WAS NOT! She then tried to gas light and she that they always charge people like this. Ma’am I know how to do my math right I come here all the time only ordering sandwiches since I work down the street. That’s stealing from customers. Stop overcharging and stealing from your customers. I only got my sandwich and a regular biscuit. If it was a dinner it should’ve came with fries but unfortunately since the female employee who was taking orders at the Drive through wasn’t paying attention she overcharged me for something way different. I will be making a formal complaint to corporate and will make another complaint until someone reached out to me. At 6:30 pm I left the lobby because I was just over it. They did give me my chocolate biscuit but it had way too much frosting on it it was too sweet. But also, I would like to add that the lady who claimed to be the manager tried to argue with me that I was charged correctly for a dinner because it was considered to be a cheaper alternative. I told her I didn’t want it and she reiterated that she can charge me for just the sandwich and biscuit if I was so insistent on being charged correctly. Obviously it’s place isn’t ran correctly at all. Something shady is really going on. I think the employees are stealing form the customers, otherwise why I’m I being charged for something I didn’t ask for. Also, the rude lady who took my order didn’t properly greet me she said she’s only taking exact cash or card. Also the lobby was closed. Two female customers tried to make an order inside the restaurant just for them to be turned down. That drive through is a mess! Where are the posters that use to be at the dt window with the district manager information. I also asked about it and the staff said the owner took them down. What is going on with the this place. I used to be a Popeyes restaurant manager years ago. I would never let this happen at all. It’s super bad. I will also make a follow up as well in case I don’t hear back. When I calmly asked for a refund, I was denied, and what followed was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. The supervisor on duty not only refused my refund but cursed at me, called me out of my name, and even told me I “look like a crackhead.” This was not only insulting but humiliating in front of other customers. I remained calm the entire time—something the cameras in the store will clearly show—while the supervisor raised his voice, cursed, and threatened me instead of fixing the mistake. I did not ask for anything unreasonable. All I wanted was for the incorrect order to be corrected or refunded. Instead, I was verbally attacked and disrespected by the person who should be setting an example of professionalism. This type of treatment is unacceptable. Corporate needs to be aware of how customers are being treated at this location. I am requesting that this situation be reviewed, that the supervisor be held accountable for his conduct, and that appropriate steps be taken to ensure no other customer is treated this way in the future. Updated Review: Hello, Thank you for your reply. The incident occurred at the Popeyes at 3040 W 159th St, Markham, IL on 09/09/2025 at approximately 12:30pm. I placed an order which was incorrect, and when I calmly requested a refund, the supervisor refused, cursed at me, and said on video that I “look like I’m on crack.” I do have video evidence of this exchange, as well as my receipt and record of calling the police to de-escalate the situation. This was extremely distressing, and my son was with me and witnessed the entire exchange. This was humiliating and uncalled for, and I expect Popeyes to take real action, not just review it.

I went in there on a Tuesday and got the 2 piece Tuesday special plus an additional side for my daughter. I got her red beans and rice and corn since that's all she will eat from there. We get home and she's ready to eat and she eats a spoonful of the red beans and rice and runs to the bathroom to THROW IT UP! I look in the container and it looks absolutely spoiled as if it had been sitting there for days and they just decided to give it out any way. I call the place FOUR times, no answer. So I go back up there and tell them I don't want it and I would like a refund for the side. The Indian guy with the rotting teeth at the counter who is supposed to be a manager was very rude telling me he needs my receipt. I told him the little girl at the window never gave me one so he proceeds to go around the entire restaurant to ask all of his ditsy employees if they had seen me earlier of course they all said no. So he said he could not give me a refund. I said ok just give me something else. He just told another girl to hand me some mashed potatoes. I decided it was not worth the argument and just left with what they gave me. This restaurant needs to be shut down. The food is disgusting and the attitudes in this place are disgusting as well.
