Employee ruined our experience by not offering to replace the scoop that fell off my 9year olds double-scoop cone, literally two licks after handing it to us. I swiftly asked for a napkin (she said âoh, they are down thereâ) so I walked over and grabbed several to clean up the spill, as any polite patron would. The other employee took it to throw it away.
She then handed me my double scoop order and said, âAnything else I can help you with?.â I looked at her in bewilderment (like what were you expecting that my daughter eat her scoop off the floor?) And then after the awkward silence she states, âItâs actually company policy unfortunately weâd have to charge you (for the spilled scoop).â
So, I handed her my entire double scoop cone back and said âok, well then, you can just have this back. I will pay for her half double scoop and thanks for ruining our experience.â Like seriously, if your business is struggling that hard maybe you should train your employees better on how to attach a double scoop. I could understand if we were out the door but seriously, two seconds after handing it to her it fell off.
So, your one scoop that probably cost you 50cents now costed you an entire double scoop plus cone. Iâve already told many people this story and they all agree itâs outrageous and you, not me who is the customer, are wrong. Doesnât take a business degree to figure this one out- which I have.
I let the employee know how rude she was since she saw it happen and was rude upon her snarky reply and that the policy itself is rude. She claimed the âmanager â wasnât there and that said person will run back for video evidenceâŚ.if so, wouldnât that be more of a reason to quickly replace it rather than CHARGE ME FULL PRICE FOR AN ITEM I DID NOT RECEIVE. I have the receipt.

Read moreUpdate: Integrity from a business owner should be a priority. You definitely did give 2 scoops in your 1 scoop price. In fact, we used to be able to get 2 different flavors in your 1 scoop price. Then YOUR staff stated that your folks weren't trained properly, and they weren't allowed to split flavors. Then the last time we came it was a single scoop for the price of an entire gallon at your local store. There's actually pictures in your photos here that show a single scoop filled up to the brim of the cup posted last year!
I'm so disappointed with this place. They raised the prices, cut the servings down in HALF, and apparently CAN'T mix two ice cream flavors anymore under a medium size because it's illegal to them... Been walking to this place for years. Sorry to say, we will be walking to Whiteys ice cream moving forward. It's a shame they took on the current trends of Big...
Read moreI went here yesterday and it was tasty! I was excited to have the flight and try 6 different of their flavors! The Pistachio Flavor has become a staple in my life and The Scoop did it right! Loved the flavor of it! The chocolate flavor isnât just chocolate, itâs a mix of Chocolate & Cinnamon. Itâs really tasty if you enjoy cinnamon ice cream like me! (I didnât try The Michigan Pothole but itâs more of a chocolate flavor then regular chocolate.) The coffee almond flavor tasted like coffee and really enjoyed it! The coconut one wasnât too sweet but I really enjoyed it, plus it had shredded coconut mixed in! The puppy chow flavor isnât ur regular puppy chow, itâs Peanut Butter but I think itâs Peanut Butter M&Mâs. The sea salt caramel is a...
