I ordered from here sometime just because of the convenience but it’s definitely NOT our families favorite due to authenticity and ability of staff to get the order correct but normally they are willing to correct their errors but I placed an order the other day and 2 out of the 4 items were completely prepared wrong. The steak nachos I ordered with ONLY cilantro, onion, fresh jalapeño(not nacho jalapeños- you MUST say because otherwise they don’t know what you’re talking about) & Chihuahua cheese (they don’t have) so you say mozzarella cheese(white cheese NOT nacho cheese also MUST say because again no clue) and steak tacos combo dinner but I explained to the young lady that I have a dairy allergy so I can’t have cheese on the tacos or in the beans. She repeated the order back to me correctly without any problems. I get home and what do I have but nachos loaded up with beans, guacamole, sour cream the works & my taco dinner with cheese everywhere. I called the restaurant back and the young lady seemed confused but stated I could come back so they could correct the wrong items. Nonetheless when my husband returned to the restaurant she was still confused about what to do so at this point I just told him to ask for a refund which has to be done by the manager who will be in the next day. She took down our information for him to call me. The manager was the most RUDE, IGNORANT and RIDICULOUS person I have spoken to. He only wanted to debate and argue about what the restaurant has and what the meals have on them!! Never once did he apologize for the error or inconvenience and when I told he “look I don’t have time to keep going round and round with you I’m only asking for a refund”. He replied bring me the other items and I will refund you. I told he there was nothing wrong with the other 2 items I’m ONLY asking that you refund me the 2 meals that were incorrect that were already brought back (which he stated were still in the fridge). Talk about a mess that stretched out over a couple of days! Just plain ridiculous. We will DEFINITELY NOT be returning and make sure EVERYONE we encounter knows to avoid this place...
Read moreIt is not authentic at all, it is more Americanized than anything. I bought a burrito, 2 tacos, and a large Pepsi, and it came out to almost $25. That is way too expensive for that little amount of food. I've been to other real authentic Mexican restaurants (that are really authentic), and those flavors are out of this world, and the prices are extremely more cheaper! The salsa's are kept in a fridge and it doesn't seem like they are done fresh everyday, because it tastes like they've been storing them in there for a few days. I say this, because when I went to pour the green salsa to my taco, it came out in a big clump like it was in a gelatin consistency (YUCK!!!!! 🤢🤮), and the flavor of the salsa is not there at all whatsoever. The red mild salsa tastes like it's just tomato sauce from the can, water, and salt...Very nasty! In an authentic Mexican restaurant I've never seen tacos that have lettuce and tomatoes...True Mexican tacos are supposed to have cilantro, onions, and lime...This place doesn't do that! I had no limes, no cilantro, or no onions at all (VERY DISAPPOINTED)!!! What a waste of time, and gas to go there to get some so-called authentic Mexican food! I feel that the majority of the people that give 5 stars or 4 stars, are the ones that are not Mexican, because they don't know the difference of what's a good authentic Mexican meal or not. They put salsa in the fridge and they use canned tomato sauce, water, and salt just to save a buck...Plus they use lettuce and tomato as a big filler to stuff more of that, instead of putting more meat in there! I will never be coming back...EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't be fooled...it says authentic in Google Maps but it is not at all authentic!!!!!!! The only thing that came out delicious...
Read moreYesterday me and a friend went to Whata Taco a hour prior to closing (Which is 12am on Tuesdays). We were given our food at about 11:38pm and at this point me and my friend proceeded to wait on our Uber Driver, who then was only 8 minutes away. After waiting in the restaurant for about 4 minutes for our Uber driver, one of the workers then approached us and told us to “Wait outside” DURING A THUNDERSTORM at approximately 11:49pm and said we couldn’t be in there because they’ll be closing soon. Me and my friend were getting DRENCHED as they all stood inside and watched from behind the counter! For MEN to kick 2 young females out in the rain at 11:49pm is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. THEY STILL HAD OTHER CUSTOMERS IN THE RESTAURANT ORDERING FOOD, HOWEVER THEY DID NOT ALLOW ME AND MY FRIEND TO WAIT IN THEIR RESTAURANT FOR OUR RIDE, AFTER SPENDING ALMOST $30 ON FOOD! I could understand if it was PAST CLOSING TIME but it WAS NOT and our ride was only 3 or 4 minutes away. That is terrible behavior as a MAN and it was totally disrespectful. I will be taking this...
