Pros: • Absolutely delicious spicy pork bibimbap • Generous portions and fresh ingredients • Friendly and attentive staff • Clean, modern interior • Great selection of boba teas Cons: • Limited seating during peak hours If you’re in Brentwood and craving Korean food, Hwan-Yeong Korean Kitchen & Boba Tea is a must-visit. I had the spicy pork bibimbap and I can confidently say it’s the best in town—by a mile. Perfectly balanced flavors, just the right amount of heat, and all the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The pork was tender and had a delicious, savory kick. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the space was spotless and inviting. I also grabbed a boba tea to go, and it was the perfect finish to the meal. Whether you’re a Korean food regular or just trying something new, this spot delivers. Can’t wait to go back!

So as a korean I was very excited to try there bossam. Which is korean style steamed pork belly. I was pretty disappointed. It didnt taste right like they seasoning it or something which bossam has no seasoning to it, color was off and the cut of the meat was wrong. Overall was pretty sad with the bossam. I will say the side dishes were amazing. I did try the kal-bi which is korean style short ribs and they were great. I didnt get pictures of it. Which is why I gave the place 4 stars because I cant downgrade the place just off of one item. Staff was super friendly and great and inside of the restaurant and bathrooms was super clean. Overall I will go back but won't order the bossam.

Came in for lunch as I was passing through from East bay. Pretty good food! Was originally concerned about the mackerel plate not being sharable, but service assured me it was enough to share. Was craving some fleshy seafood, and it checked my boxes. Kimchi pancakes has good flavor, nice dividable portions instead of 1 giant pancake, which is smart for the bowl size + dipping. Kimchi stew hits the spot, right level of saltiness and spiciness. Banchan cleans up the pallette well. Banchan kimchi could use a little work, but their coleslaw style noodle side dish is a pretty good pallette cleaner. Definitely was fresh, but just a little sweeter than I'm used to

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Stars

What an absolute gem! We just tried the new Korean restaurant Hwan-Yeong in Brentwood, and it was fantastic from start to finish.

We ordered the Tofu Bibimbap and the Bulgogi Bibimbap, and both were out of this world. The tofu was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside, soaking up the flavorful gochujang sauce beautifully. The bulgogi was juicy, savory, and perfectly seasoned — each bite was bursting with that deliciously sweet and smoky flavor that makes you want more.

The bowls came loaded with a colorful variety of fresh veggies, rice, and topped with that perfect sunny-side-up egg. The textures and flavors balanced so well that every bite felt like comfort food at its finest.

And don’t even get me started on the banchan! A generous spread of kimchi, pickled radish, and other little side dishes that kept us snacking and smiling the whole meal.

Our waitress Jessica was an absolute delight — friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. The rest of the staff were just as kind and on top of everything, making the whole dining experience smooth and enjoyable.

Hwan-Yeong is definitely going to be one of our go-to spots in Brentwood. If you love authentic Korean food with great service and a warm atmosphere, do yourself a favor and check this...

Hwan Yeoung has quickly become a family favorite! We've been fortunate enough to dine there five times during their soft opening, and each experience has been exceptional. From the perfectly marinated meats and expertly crafted Korean BBQ dishes to the delightful boba drinks, everything has been consistently delicious and of high quality. The variety and freshness of the ingredients are truly remarkable. We've tried a range of items from their menu, and haven't been disappointed once. It's such a welcome addition to the Brentwood culinary scene, especially with its convenient six-day-a-week schedule. We're already planning our next visit and eagerly recommending Hwan Yeoung to all our friends and family. The warm and friendly service only enhances the overall dining experience, making it a place we’ll return to again and again. Thank you for providing such a wonderful restaurant to our community!
