I know i should have tried the Bun since this is supposed to be a Vietnamese restaurant, but like almost whey every asian restaurant in this town, they serve food from many countries. I've had the Bun at Pho 88 and was disappointed anyway so I probably wouldn't have like it here either.
I got pad thai, there were giant chunks of barely cooked bell peppers in it, I've never seen such a thing! In addition, the mung bean sprouts were premixed in instead of left on top so they got cooked and mushy leaving the dish with no variance in textures, just mushy and overly sweet.
The barely animated kid who served us asked how our food was and when I said mushy and too sweet he responded with a nod and said "okay", he asked me the question but didn't bother to listen to my response. He came back later asking if I wanted a to go box, I had already moved the dish as far away from me as possible so as not to have to smell it anymore.
Lack luster service and lack luster food, guess I'll have to keep making my way to Pho Van...
Read moreFood is fresh and steaming hot! We ordered, garlic soy wings, steak bulgogi fries, spicy ramen and side of garlic noodles. The wings are my go to because they fry their wings hard and the garlic soy almost makes the wing candy coated( also want to add that I have also ordered them to go and they hold up well with a 10 minute ride). So delicious! The bulgogi fries were fresh and super tasty, they gave us their yum yum sauce on the side and it was great for dipping the fries. Lastly their broths are rich in flavor! I have had the classic pho and the spicy beef broth. Both were even tastier the next day. Lastly the staff there are quick and friendly. You can tell everyone wants to share good quality food. This is my go to for wanting...
Read moreThis place is a gem! The food is consistently delicious and the service is unassuming and fantastic. This has become mine and my husband’s favorite food spot for the occasional lunch date. The atmosphere is calm, comfortable, and clean; a little green oasis along route 51 (aka Clariton blvd). I especially love all the plants and natural light the corner window table gets. Still trying to figure out why there are multiple copies of the same books on shelves, but it has become a silly game of mine to come up with different, often outlandish, reasons for this quirky decor choice. This doesn’t detract in anyway from the dining experience. Well worth stopping in and trying them...
