Overall this was our second time eating at this restaurant. First time was a party of 5 with a round table but this time there was a party of 4 and got a booth which honestly the tables are a little too small for all the silverware. We started with drinks, then appetizers, dinner and dessert with coffee. Overall we got there around 7 and left close to 9 pm. I really wanted to give this restaurant 5 stars but had just a few hiccups throughout the evening. I felt that it was not explained that bread as an extra charge, more like would you like sour dough or garlic bread and honestly if we are paying 7 bucks for bread it needs to be hot and a little better than what we got served. Another issue was I ordered for my wife the filet special which the server did not hear special and just brought out the steak and when they tried to fix it, she was brought 3 pieces of bacon and 3 pieces of crab. I don't know for me I would have had the kitchen just fire a whole new one and comp that for her to bring home for lunch or another meal. What was brought out was disappointing and honestly embarrassing. Lastly, the pace of the menu was very poor. Our server had other tables that were larger parties and seemed to struggle. There were many times that we had dirty dishes just sitting on our table and then a random server would grab them which was nice. I would also like to think for the kind of establishment that anything to go should be boxed up by the staff next to the table rather than us being given the boxes. I don't know, it just was not there for me last night. Some of the food options were not best: Smoked BBQ shrimp had no bbq taste, and the charcuterie board was very disappointing with the selection. Neither of those would I get again. Overall I know our guest loved the porkchop and he was the driving factor to come back a second time and he was very happy with his dish therefore we would just save this restaurant for when he is in town and wants to go.

Read moreVery awkward that 3 of the 4 meals came and 4th had empty plate. All meals were getting cold as they waited and finally just told them to eat. Food finally came 10 full minutes apart from the rest of the table. But sides came and just sat getting cold.
3 out of 3 steaks ordered at the table had to go back.
Attempt 1 6oz Butterfly medium+ 6oz Regular medium+ 8oz Butterfly medium+ Arrived Medium rare Medium rare Well done
Attempt #2 Fixed butterfly, still medium rare red/purple Still medium rare red/purple He just ate the well done too hungry to wait
Brought new sides as they got cold waiting but also just got cold because steaks had to go back again.
Attempt #3 Never in my life have I sent any meal back a 2nd or 3rd time. Never. Not that person, can make anything work and perfection isn't the bar but cannot eat mooing meat, just can't.
Came back... Well done burnt edges Well done burnt edges
Can I also add the 8oz and 6oz claims...are overstated. I've been ordering this steak for close to 35 years, I make this steak at home. What they served was about 4oz and their idea of butterfly was to cut it into strips like a very awkward looking crab walking on my plate.
The steak was awful. Really. Barely ate it and boy did I want to, I was starving.
We embarrassingly told them when they delivered it was well done. They hurried away and we both just shook our heads and accepted this was as good as it was going to get and ate the non charred parts.
They cooked the exact same piece of meat on all of these attempts instead of just starting over any 1 of them.
We've been here before and this was not the experience. Things happen. Sometimes the service doesn't go as you would hope, but I think in business it's how you handle it that determines if you have a repeat customer or not.
Unfortunately, their plan to fix all of this... Was 50% off of the incorrect steaks. 🤔 50% off a piece of the SAME meat they botched 3 times. Interesting approach.
Don't ask me... There was big opportunity here to still pull out a win but just completely missed by...
