Straw Hat Pizza — Restaurant in Brentwood

I am usually so happy to be going to Straw Hat for their lunch deal. My fiance and I enjoy having their salad bar paired with a hot hat, or a personal pizza. I've talked to a manager before, at least I'm pretty sure he was. He was just talking to me about the salad bar and how he likes his staff to be on top of making sure the food is nice and prepped.

Usually it is nicely prepped, however this last Sunday, it seemed that the staff were absent minded about the salad bar. They were being pretty immature in the back room. Playing around with each other, and laughing so loud that you can hear them out in the lobby area. They were just gossiping in the back together, and not watching the front area when the salad ended up going down practically all the way. The food looked like it was old, and had been sitting out for a long while.

I enjoy a good laugh here and there, however it's nice to see a place that's professional and keeps itself in tip top shape.

This is the first time that I didn't enjoy my experience at Straw Hat. I will still be a good paying customer, and I will still bring business because you guys have great food, however I really wish the staff were a bit more friendly, and professional.

I Like to come here for the salad bar. I was extremely disappointed when I came for salads this time. The spinach was down to the bottom, with a lot of slimy limp pieces. And the lettuce was down to the bottom sitting in brown water. I figured no big deal and asked if they could just put out fresh lettuce and spinach. And they did except they mixed it around in the brown lettuce water that was sitting there for who knows how long. After that I had lost my appetite and decided to just get a refund. I was charge $27. And only refunded 18. I guess my two fountain drinks costed $10.00. 🙄 Anyway I've never had to ask for a refund at a restaurant before. The restaurant in lone tree way street close to winco is very dirty and they have a bad attitude. Unfortunately, when I was eating from the salad bar, there was a pinching cockroach on my salad. I showed it to the manager, he took the dish and just said sorry and gave me another plate. I asked him to change the gortan in salad bar because it came out of there. It was the dirtiest restaurant I have ever been in my whole life. My family and I could not eat and I told the staff that I am sorry for you guys.
