Walked n and was brought a basket of chips that was very dark brown. We'd been traveling for more than 7 hrs & were starving. Even though cops didn't look appetizing we tried them . They tasted as they looked. BURNT!! I asked older gentlemen if he could bring us another basket of chips that were fresh. He responded VERY RUDELY , FRESH ? FRESH ? The food here is not good. Iv had Mexican food on the streets of Mexico which was absolutely delicious. This doesn’t come close to the tastes of Mexico. Ya know there’s even some great Mexican restaurants in New Mexico and Arizona. The place smelled like crude oils and I waited 15 mins at the front desk to be greeted. My fajitas were drenched in so much bad oil and liquid and the side of beans definitely came from a can. Salsa was so bland it tasted like marinara sauce. Owner seemed nice but the food just wasn’t good. They should swap out canned ingredients for fresh and change their oil in their fryer more often. Those things would really improve the...

This place is fantastic! The owner and his family are kind, helpful, and hospitable! They made us feel welcome at their restaurant even though we showed up within an hour of closing time! They served us without issues, the prices were AMAZING, and the food was delicious. They refilled our basket of chips without us having to ask, checked in our table multiple times, and gave us great recommendations. Their sauce collection is absolutely the best I've seen. The spicy mango sauce was my favorite and the owner even gave me the recipe! My friends and I loved it so much we went back the next day for lunch. If I'm ever back in NC, I would...
