Quixote is my go-to when entertaining out-of-town guests. The menu blends traditional Mexican flavors with a fine-dining twist. The Momias—bacon-wrapped shrimp with mango sauce and poblano pepper pasta is a personal favorite. The Salsa de Champiñones - pork, chicken or shrimp in creamy mushroom sauce, with vegetables is a close second. The carrot soup is creamy and addictive, and the portion is substantial. On this visit we opted for steak and salmon dishes. Quixote also boasts the best margaritas in town, with an extensive list of fresh, hand-crafted options (no premixes!). Beer enthusiasts will appreciate the extensive beer menu, offering everything from lights to darks to IPAs, plus flights so you can sample several. The dining room has a cozy and casual ambiance, and the noise level is low, so you can enjoy dinner conversations. During the warmer months I opt for the covered patio seating to enjoy the outdoors and live music. They can accommodate groups but be sure to call to book a table. Quixote is popular with locals and tourists and reservations are strongly encouraged during peak season. Visit their web to see all of their offerings.

We were out doing some practice driving for my son's driving test the next day and he said he was hungry. I remembered seeing Quixote Fine Cuisine when I was in Brevard before but had never gone in. I can't believe that I have missed out on this dining experience for so long. Everything we ate was delicious, and there were so many unique dishes on the menu that I had the hardest time deciding what to order. The cocktail and wine lists are excellently curated, far above most Mexican restaurants. My son's bacon wrapped shrimp over pasta with a poblano sauce was exquisite! My fish tacos were packed with fish and the chipotle sauce was delicious! We already have plans to bring a friend back who is gluten free, because their menu was well labeled and had a large selection of options that were gluten free. More gf than not, as a matter of fact. So happy to have finally tried Quixote and will be back soon!

This place is amazing. As many have said, the food and the service is excellent. I had the pollo con manzana y nuez. The sauce was as slightly sweet and the apples were refreshing while the chicken was tender and juicy. The rice was flavorful and light. My husband had carnitas. The pork was crispy yet juicy and packed full of flavor. Easily the best pork I've had, ever. The beans were also delicious and they weren't all mashed up like most refried beans. I even ate the pico, and I don't like pico, but this was fresh, flavorful and without over doing the cilantro. We also enjoyed the cheese appetizer, flan and churros. Then there are the variety of margaritas. Yum. If you're in the area, you have to stop here. Even if you aren't a fan of Mexican food, give it a try. This is not the typical Mexican restaurant.

We rolled into town late in preparation for a day of outdoors fun the next day. We started searching for dinner places and settled on Quixote. They were closing soon so we just asked to get an order to-go. The staff were extremely welcoming even though it was getting late. They pointed us to a place to sit and kept offering drinks while we waited. While we were looking over the menu, a waiter walked by with a plate of something with a mole sauce. It looked so good, I stopped him to ask what it was. He said it was their Mancha Mantel. That’s what I had to have. My daughters decided to share their Salsa de Champiñones. My son decided on a boring quesadilla from the kid’s menu. and my wife wasn’t very hungry so just got some guac and chips and a side of rice. We took it all back to our hotel room.

The smells coming from the bag were amazing. I dove in my meal and loved every bite of the chicken and mole sauce. The rice was amazing as well. It isn’t your typical Mexican restaurant rice. When I finished the chicken, I mixed the rest of the rice and sauce for a strangely good combination. One of my daughters is a foodie with expensive tastes and the other eats only because it’s how you sustain life. They were both raving over their dish. They said it seemed more like an Italian dish with the cream sauce and mushrooms and veggies but they still loved it. My son didn’t like his rice so they took his to finish off their sauce. My son was the only one that got beans and that was a mistake. They were refried beans unlike any I’ve had before. I would have eaten them all but had to share.

I’ve been joking for the past week that I’m headed out to pick up dinner at Quixote even through it’s six hours from home. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town. The food and great service are...

Quixote was recommended to me by a previous guest. I heard that the Poblano pasta was excellent. So I ordered the Ossa Bucca -- the pork shank, Poblano pasta, and salad. However, to start with we received water-- but no ice. We had to request it. My guest ordered the salmon and wanted to exchange the mashed potatoes for the Poblano pasta. We were told it wouldn't be a problem. We also got the guacamole and chips. When it arrived, we commented that the chips were hot but a bit overcooked. When my dinner arrived, my salad looked beautiful and the dressing was delicious, but upon closer inspection, the cucumber and tomato were covering up brownish lettuce-- like it had been cut days before. My meat was very salty-- it was mostly the sauce, and I only ate half of it. The Poblano pasta turned out to be mushy spaghetti with Poblano and cheese sauce. It did taste okay, but it wasn't the "wow" I had expected. My guest received her meal-- salmon, a lot of sautéed broccoli and yellow squash and a small plate of the Poblano pasta. So while the meal wasn't as good as expected, the worst part came when I was up charged $7 for the pasta!!! No mention of that had been made by the server. All in all, it was overpriced, the food was "meh", and the upcharge...

Quixote offers REAL Mexican Cuisine. You won't find food like this anywhere in the state or any state most likely. This restaurant sits on a corner in Brevard across from a malt shop and next door to a beer store. So you may not even notice it. However, please take note. As I said, this is a foodie haven serving cuisine that is worth every penny paid. I suggest the queso fundido (thick white cheese melted over chorizo and served with corn tortillas) to begin. The menu is unique and varied. The grilled shrimp marinated in orange juice (served with rice) is light but full of flavor. The osso buco was a pleasant surprise to find on the every day menu. It was cooked perfectly in a delicate tomato broth and comes with spaghetti in a creamy poblano sauce that was flavorful and acted as the perfect side. A small side salad was also part of the entree. The restaurant is very clean and we'll decorated to give you a feel of Mexico City and the hometown white squirrels here and there. Our waiter and all of the staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. We will certainly be back soon and often. Can hardly wait to share this dining super star with friends and family. If you crave amazing cuisine at a reasonable price, get yourself to...
