I am not one to leave a tough review, but after my experience this morning I feel it is necessary. I would like to start by saying the Everything Bagel and bacon I purchased were both delicious - so 5 stars on food. However the service did seem to be lacking. I understand it was busy during my visit, but I too am in customer service and busyness does not give me an excuse to slack on service.
I ordered online and was called shortly after placing the order to be notified they did not have gluten free bread available. No issue there - I understand things happen. I asked for the order to be cancelled and refunded because my partner is unable to have gluten at this time. I was placed on hold so they could look into how to do that, and when the worker picked back up, they told me they would have to call me back because they weren't sure how to cancel an order and they were busy. I told them not to worry about canceling - I would just head up there and we could discuss then. When I got to the counter, I asked that they leave the bread off since gluten free wasn't an option. The cashier said ok and handed the ticket to the staff, but the other workers laughed at the request for no bread... which was super odd to me. After waiting for about 20 to 30 minutes for a bagel, side of bacon, and a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich with no bread, I was handed my order. No one attempted to offer replacements or any type of refund for the bread (though I had paid extra for it and tipped online), and my bacon wasn't even in the bag. They did bring it out once I brought it to their attention, though.
While waiting, I must agree with a previous review - the staff was more concerned with each other than focusing on their tasks. They had 5 different orders in front of them, and instead of doing 1 at a time they were doing parts of each one and getting distracted/side tracked.
Again, the food was good so I will definitely give credit there - and the staff seemed kind. But the disinterest in satisfying their customers and making sure they had everything they needed was off-putting. Maybe it was an off-day, so I'm open to trying them again if I find myself back...
Read moreDear David, the owner of Quotations Coffee Cafe: This is our 5th attempt to be in touch with you to reverse an erroneous $430.77 charge that was made to our son's account on Sunday, December 6th. My son came in two times to have the error reversed and I drove over from Hendersonville to take care of the matter in person on Tuesday, to which you promised you would have my funds to me by today (12-9). But, unfortunately you have yet to even be in touch with me, despite my numerous calls to your kind employees. Had I not personally covered your company's mistake, my son would have incurred over $335.00 in overdraft charges - yet I am seeking only the actual transaction amount of $430.77. Until you have reversed this transaction or you have reimbursed me in cash, I will be making the rounds on all social media outlets. I hope this action finally gets your attention.
UPDATE - a week after I made the social media rounds David Robbins issued a check for his fraudulent charges (why he didn't reverse the charges on my credit card I'll never understand). I immediately went to the bank only to discover he had postdated the check for the next week. I WAS FURIOUS. I immediately drove back to the shop and demanded cash. He had conveniently left the building. I threatened to cause a scene so he returned. He said he did not have the cash, but he did call the bank to tell them I was returning after he manually corrected and initialed the check.
May 22 - 2016 - I suggest not dealing on any level with David Robbins if at all possible. Currently he owes a licensed plumber over $1000.00. Dills Plumbing has dealt with the same delay tactics MO from David Robbins but nonpayment has gone on...
Read moreI was visiting Brevard for a little while and decided to go to a local coffee shop. The person at the register was very sweet and attentive. I ordered a tea with non-dairy milk, but when I received the drink, I could tell dairy was in it (whether they made it with dairy or there was some cross contamination). When I told the person at the register, they apologized and told me they would get it remade. The woman that was making the drink said it was made with Oatmilk. They tried to give me back the old drink. When I explained that I could taste dairy, they remade it. However, the woman that remade it was very rude, brought me the drink and said, it’s going to taste the same because they were both made with the same milk. She then put my cup on the table and walked away. When I called back, the manager told me that I was entitled to how I felt but she saw the woman make the drink (I haven’t drank dairy in over 8 years and can taste when something is made of dairy or non-dairy). She then tried to make an excuse for the woman being rude and said that she was probably rude because of they were busy. I was with a large group of people and will make sure no one comes to this place whenever they visit. I am a strong advocate for local business, but I could have probably received better service (or at least a better response to my complaint) had it happened at a...
