This was always our little hidden gem restaurant in NJ for great Italian food & many nights in the summer and winter for years we have enjoyed many meals. We noticed the last time we dined with them that something is different about there food. Maybe a new cook or using different recipes but definitely not made with love the way it once was. Tonight we decided to place a order and pick it up instead of dining in the restaurant. We live about 30 minutes from location so it’s a bit of a hike but food was always worth it. After 60 minutes of travel my husband arrives home with the family dinner and the personal pizza is missing for my 8 year old. We called the restaurant and told the girl and she said more less she told my husband she was going in the back to get rest of order. Apparently my husband didn’t hear that and assumed his whole order was in bag. No phone call from restaurant stating part of order was left behind so he could go back quickly. So the young woman on phone comes back on phone and says manager can’t refund your money you would have to drive back and get pizza or next time dining they would give a pizza. Very very bad customer service as we spent just about 100 dollars on a to go order. We will no longer be dining with them and will let are friends know as well. Also the test of food was terrible tonight & we are out money but they are out long...
Read moreThis is the review for the eggplant parmesan sub sandwich.
The standard full-size sub is about 13 in and it is huge. If you're here for lunch or for a regular meal a half sub will probably do most people Justice. I added some cooked black olives to my sandwich for no charge so that was nice of them.
The guys that work this establishment are real friendly and real nice. And just so you know this restaurant is about 15 years old. however that being said this is not a restaurant you want to come and sit down and eat. It is in no frills establishment with counter service whose primary business is delivery and takeout based customers.
I found nothing special about the eggplant parmesan sandwich that I ordered. It lacked flavor and the tomato sauce used felt like it was just regular plain old simple tomato sauce out of a can with some salt and pepper.
While waiting around for my sandwich I did glimpse the pizzas that would lying on a tray and they seemed nice and thin.
maybe the pizzas are better and this place is really a pizza restaurant but I'm not coming back here...
Read moreIf you live in Brick, Point, or any surrounding area and have not tried Federico’s, shame on you. But shame on me for driving by this place almost daily and not stopping in. This is the place when a new neighbor asks you, “what’s your pizza place” I was driving by and saw Federico’s and remembered that a buddy of mine from work said that’s where he goes and it’s delicious. I stopped in, grabbed a sausage slice, l devoured it on the way home and within a couple hours I was back ordering a whole pie with sausage. Phenomenal taste and quality. Nice and thin with a perfect under carriage. I am not one bit ashamed to admit I am going back today for a cheesesteak. Trust me people you will not be...
