Lo's Garden was, a one time, my go to Chinese/Japanese restaurant in the area but they're staff is rude, they don't have online ordering (even though they have tap and pay devices in store), and their menu is so strict with changes (and many times inaccurate), that I've spoken to them with no avail.
The final straw was over two salads! Their website menu stated that soup AND salad came with the lunch combos but they argued that that is wrong and not how it is anymore. I said they should honor it until the menu is updated. The cashier over the phone said she can't do that, that the paper menus state the change. After going back and forth with no resolution, I asked to speak to a manager. She told me no manager was on duty until later in the day. So, I ordered my food and told her I would deal with it when I arrived for pickup. At my arrival, I gave then three ultimatums: honor the online menu, let me speak to a manager, or I'll just leave and take my business elsewhere. Well, she decided that wasting the food was worth it and said she wouldn't give me the salads. So, I left and decided to take my business somewhere else.
I will never recommend or eat at Lo's again! It's so sad because their food is pretty good and they have great menu options, but their front end staff...

This use to be my favorite Chinese restaurant 4/5 star in the area. They had great dishes in both sushi and Chinese cuisine (sushi always winning out) however their duck or spicy beef was a close second!
I use to find the staff personable and engaging however, I don’t know if there has been a change in ownership but I find that everything has less attention to detail especially considering the pricing.
Twice my meals have been over cooked (burnt orange peals and all bone and burnt ribs). Multiple times my order was either missing something or it wasn’t what I ordered. In the case of sushi lately, it has been poorly prepared or in poor texture.
The staff is 50/50 now when it comes to engagement, but the one hostess who answers the phone has such an air about her it makes me want to chew bricks when I see her.
It’s unfortunate, this was a really great establishment and I hope it goes back to its...
Read moreHomemade hot mustard sauce and free freshly fried wonton strips (as opposed to machine made, stale ones, you know what I mean) with sauce sets this place apart from others.
Superior egg drop and hot&sour soup. None can compete in area of point pleasant and brick.
Fried/Steamed dumplings are not wrapped in the chewy thick dough that you commonly find in other Chinese restaurants. It's worth every bite.
The crab rangoon is cream cheese wrapped in a pastry dough that is amazing.
The boneless ribs are tender and yummy. The cold noodles with sesame sauce is amazingly addictive. The shrimp toast is by far their best appetizer. You will not find a more scrumptious piece of toast.
When they say prawns, you will not get the tiny shrimps, these are huge. Worth every penny.
By far the best Chinese restaurant in Point Pleasant and Brick. For those who complain about their coupons, they used to honor them when it was on their menu. I never...
