Sandy's Cafe — Restaurant in Brick Township

This place has a lot of things to work on. Ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches and 2 drinks $24 bucks, the math didnt add up to the pricing posted on their signage. When i questioned the pricing, i was then informed that there was an upcharge for using a credit card. While this is understandable it should be posted so that someone can at least make the choice of using cash or not. We ordered sandwiches to go and watched several people after us place orders and recieve them much quicker. While waiting my wife and i noticed a server walking around with a glove on one hand touching all kinds of surfaces and then handling peoples food before serving it to them, perhaps some frequent hand washing would be better? After waiting 20 minutes (the place wasnt even 1/2 full) we finally got our sandwiches and headed home. After unwrapping our sandwiches we were met with disappointment, my wifes porkroll was barely warm while my porkroll was rock hard. I completely lost my appetite and just threw the sandwich out. This place seemed like a high school clique, they were only nice to the people they knew instead of treating everyone as a future lifetime customer. Found the place doing research online, looking promising, and found disappointing. People serving are polite and patient, but seeing a server with a coffee pot in hand and cleaning supplies under the arm was frustrating. We can understand that since every meal is prepared fresh, slow service is normal, but it should be compensated with amazing food. After initial service, nobody asked if we wanted something else, even a coffee refill, couldn't call the attention of anyone because they were busy talking to regulars, which my family won't become. My wife received a plate of "gravy with drowned biscuits" inside, and I ordered a skillet that came with barely cooked eggs, almost raw, lots of egg whites uncooked and half of the eggshells still on my plate, really frustrating, I was starving and had to be moving food around the be able to eat, saw a couple of customers on neighboring tables complaining about long waits also and leaving with half eaten portions. I'm a foodie, I love to try new foods and places, some I go back, this one, unfortunately, not a chance. We went there today for the last time! Have gone several ( more than 3) times. Everyone is nice enough but for us being 1of 2 couples it seemed to take a bit of a minute and my EGGS are NEVER done right. I get the exact same thing every time. But to no avail. Still cooked hard, Not over medium ( runny yolk ) like I ask every single time. Didn't want to wait for new ones, then everything else would be cold. So again I ate them. Anyone familiar with Waffle House, maybe should be trained there. They can cook some eggs now! Also today our check was fixed but was charged ala cart for items when it's more expensive to do so. Our waitress was sweet but took forever and did not check on us until we were clearly finished. Tip reflected lack of attention. Literally every aspect of our visit was horrible!
