This review is strictly on the pho. The service is what I call amusing and down to earth-- don't expect to be waited on hand and foot at all. Feel free to dig in the Asian culture by seating yourself, grabbing your own menu, grabbing drinks from the fridge and peeking through the window to the kitchen to wave down the server.
Otherwise, the pho is awesome. I've ate at pho places multiple times in NYC (where I lived for 5 years), FL, CT and Canada, and my favorite place in the states is Pho Saigon. I even tried a vietnamese place nearby because of the good reviews but the broth doesn't cut it like Pho Saigon's.
Here, you can skip the hoisin sauce and whatever extra you like to add to your pho because the broth is good as is. Yes, the quality of the meat can be better but the broth is what makes the pho. It's always consistently good and I always leave satisfied.
I also like getting the summer rolls-- for $7.00, you get 3 huge ones. They know how to do it right.
I'm always tempted to get other food while I'm there but considering I don't live in the area anymore, it's so hard to stray away from the house special.

Read moreDon't let the simple surroundings fool you this place is amazing. Do you enjoy large bowls of soup, steaming with goodness and fresh herbs? What about noodles plenty of those here too. The number 31 might be one of the most perfect dishes for under $9 I've ever had. Sweet and sour sauce over noodles, roast pork, shrimp, chopped lettuce, diced spring rolls with a sprinkle of peanuts over the top. Not to be outdone the number one mixed beef soup is also my go-to order. I am not ashamed to admit that I order both meals everytime I visit. Every Time. One number one plus a number 31 as my appetizer with a Thai bubble tea. All together costs me less than $20. That's a bargain for this...
Read moreThis establishment was the go to spot back in 2010…Now it’s lost its luster given the cost cutting style of cooking. For example, the pho broth is missing layers of spices and deep beef broth flavor. The peanut sauce for the spring rolls is watery and missing some other ingredients. The pho accompanying herbs are missing (other than standard Thai basil and bean sprouts). Like other food establishments, the portions have been cut back while the prices have risen (Smaller bowls and 3 vs 4 spring rolls) I’m not sure whether sourcing is the primary cause. However, it has seen better days. Hopefully, the restaurant re-focus on quality and authenticity. In the interim, I’ll wait on...
