Awesome Sauce Caribbean Flavors — Restaurant in Bridgeport

The food may be good, but the customer service leaves quite a lot to be desired. I placed an order with this restaurant on Uber Eats. Shortly after placing the order, someone from Awesome Sauce called to say that they were out of Mac and Cheese, and that there was a $20 order minimum to place an order using Uber Eats, and because they don't have Mac and Cheese, my order now doesn't meet the minimum. Mind you, there is no mention of this order minimum on Uber Eats. I tell the person fine, and I place another order--this time including plantain, festival, and salt fish fritters. Once again, someone--a different person calls to tell me that I can't have Saltfish fritters, because they are a breakfast menu item. When I explain, 1) That this will be the third time that I'm having to place an order, and 2) In order to meet their ridiculous minimum, I'm gonna have to order food that I really don't want, the person at Awesome Sauce replies, "I don't know." It seems to me that being that they were out of a popular menu item, they would have sent the remainder of my order, despite the minimum order requirement, seeing as how, I couldnt place an order to meet the minimum because they neglected to prepare enough food for the day. So much for customer service. Their food may be good, but their customer service?...

Hello first impression is the best impression my first time eating @ Awesome sauce I’m really disappointed at two things first thing is the prices are ridiculously high And not worth the amount of food to the amount you paid for the food don’t add up that’s number one and my second complaint is I had oxtail they didn’t have cabbage so I had oxtail and rice and peas and I got my girlfriend Curry chicken with rice and peas. We saved it for dinner later on that night warmed everything up the curry chicken and the oxtail were tremendously hot. Couldn’t even eat it hot spicy hot. couldn’t even enjoy the tender oxtail because they was tender, but you can’t even enjoy the flavor of the food because it’s so spicy hot and she didn’t eat her curry chicken. It was too hot and spicy as well. We just went to the restaurant August 8, 2024 experience will not be coming back because someone should taste the food before serving it to the public too damn hot and too large dinners oxtail and one curry chicken I paid 54 Dollars Way...

11/24-- ok havent been here in awhile. Plus im not in Bridgeport now since 2016. So i went on yesterday wanted to get out my town n wanted some good décent food. I normaly cook my food. So they back in truck now. I think I remember the last time I had their Oxtails they were real Spice too. So boom, I got Oxtails, Rice n peas, Mac n cheese... not remembering the last time. Man that should have been jerk chicken or something bc it was soooooo hot n Spicey like amost couldn't enjoy it. Please dont make the Oxtails that Spicy its not jerk chicken. Someone must have switched seasonings by mistake. Whew!!!! Customer service was good though. I gave 1 star n its not updating. Wasn't happy...
