I've been going here for the past couple of months. Order the same thing and food has always been very good. The woman who takes the orders is very nice also. Always reads the order back to me and she's also always been very professional. The owner or manager's decision to place her in this position was a very good one as she is usually the first encounter on the phone and when arriving to get the food. It's an excellent first impression. I think I even possibly seen the owner tonight while picking up the food. Several orders were what appeared to be ready for the customer and he calmly asked which were for who. Excellent and calm communication with his employees is another good sign. I'm in this industry at the moment and I have to say it would be an honor to work for this gentleman and with the others there. A well oiled machine that gets the orders out as quick as possible. Believe me, I know what I'm seeing and...
Read moreEdit 4/20/2021: Their pizza is like a wheel of grease in comparison to many pies in the immediate area. I haven't had Five Star in a while solely because of that. I am able to pay less for superior pies from only a few minutes away. Again, the pizzas are not bad, but there are better options at a lower price point.
Mid 2019: Five Star Pizza has always been okay thus far. I haven't had a pie that I wouldn't enjoy. The quality is pretty good but a little over priced for what it is and the location. I feel like a slight decrease in price would benefit the place drastically.
With that being said, the place itself is very bland. It's dark and lacking in decor. It doesn't look appealing but it has great potential to be one of the better places in the downtown area. Currently the only reasons why I keep going back are because they have consistency in their quality and because...
Read moreI ordered a tuna salad. I was told that there was no celery in the salad. I get the salad and there's celery. I called and the girl that answered the phone says that it's coleslaw. She goes and asks and finds out that it is indeed celery. She then asks if I ate the salad because they need it back to give me a refund. Then she tells me that even though I paid cash and debit card, the refund would have to go to the debit card. Makes absolutely no sense. I asked for the manager. His attitude was even worse. I explain to him that I don't eat celery and it's an inconvenience because what am I suppose to eat now? He says he doesn't know, but the refund cannot be cash. Poorest customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Needless to say, I won't be ordering from them anymore. If there was an option for no stars, they would...
