Update What the heck? Just went there tonight for a cheese pizza. Simple easy to make and the answer or answers are a BIG FAT NO. Can't say the people behind the counter or cooking ever ate there before it was taken over by whoever bought Vinny's but it's definitely not the same. Its a hard pass now. Get things change, but was hoping for the best and anything but the best. You could recommend this place now it's like any other place that doesn't know how to make pizza. Highly disappointed. If you were about Vinny's just don't go cuz my old review at the bottom of this one when is this place was number one spot with the old crew. Now it's number 457. Forget about it. Rather have went next door. Real shame. Who bought this place? So much for my wife's eggplant and clams casino.... My wife's face said it all. Damn damn damn why did they have to sell and get old. Should have learned from the masters drop the name Vinny's call it something else

××××××**××××××This is an old review for the real Vinny's Pizza.......As my wife would say can't go anywhere else for an eggplant grinder..... 100% the best of the best since she was young and I would agree. They know what they're doing and just because they don't have delivery doesn't mean a thing.... They're food on what we get makes you want to go there to pick it up beyond 5 stars and hope it last for a long time would be sad if this place disappeared. If you come to Connecticut and if you're in the area and want truly a great dinner or lunch you need to go there. Highly recommended trust my wife and I.... she drives me crazy about their eggplant and I've tried making her grinders as she says you do great my love, but you're not Vinny's only on Eggplant and my eggplant is...

2025 Update The minute we pulled up to the new face of Vinny's, I felt a mix of excitement and hesitation. This place has been like home to me for as long as I can remember—I've been coming here since I was born. So, when I heard there were new owners, I couldn't help but wonder if it would still have the same heart and soul that made it special.

Walking in, the familiar warmth was still there, but with a fresh energy. The updates to the space were noticeable but tasteful, keeping the cozy, welcoming atmosphere intact. The owner and staff were nothing but kind, welcoming, and wanting to make their customers happy. Badran and Adel were SO nice and immediately greeted us like family, instantly putting my worries to rest. I love them!

Then came the true test—the food. I'm happy to say that the classic dishes I've loved for years are still just as delicious. The pizza was spot on, and I'm happy to report my meatballs were how I always remembered them. I have always loved Vinny, Fernanda, Dominic, and Sandra! The new owners have clearly taken care to preserve the recipes and flavors that made Vinny's a staple while also adding some thoughtful new touches to the menu.

What I can say is change is never easy, especially when it comes to a place so deeply tied to memories. But after this visit, I can confidently say that Vinny's is in good hands. The food was good, and the owners care—that says a lot. The heart of the restaurant—the warmth, the hospitality, and the incredible food—remains the same. It's a new chapter, but it still...

I was so pleasantly surprised today when I stopped into Vinny‘s pizza! I’ve been going to Vinny‘s since 1974! I was seven years old when they opened and me and my family have been enjoying the restaurant throughout the decades that Vinny and Dominick owned the restaurant. Well, I had the pleasure today of stopping in there and when I spoke to the owner, I’m sorry I do not remember his name. He was so friendly he let me try one of his meatballs before I ordered my favorite grinder! And much to my surprise, it was delicious! So I still have a place to go and have my favorite grinder! He was so friendly and so hospitable, he gave me and my friend a piece of cheese pizza to share. It was amazing! The place has been remodeled it’s beautiful very comfortable bright atmosphere and! OMG! They make fresh homemade Italian gelato! They have made a beautiful addition for ice cream and sweet treats! I wish this new owner all the best! I hope he has the same success that Vinny and Dominic had for many many years to come! If you are someone who has been going to Vinny throughout the years, I say definitely stop and try it out.
