K&S Italian Specialties — Restaurant in Bridgewater Township

I’ve been wanting to check out this place for a while. I’m Italian and grew up going to mom and pop Italian markets since I was a young girl. K&S Italian Specialties reminds me of that. The minute I walked in I knew I came to the right place. It really took me back to those nostalgic days with those familiar smells I grew up loving. Everything is made fresh to order at K&S Italian specialties. I wound up buying their pasta salad, fresh Italian bread, imported dry pasta and cookies. This place was busy and I saw many people ordering their different types of sandwiches which are large. I love that they have a sandwich with chicken cutlet, broccoli rabe and fresh mozzarella. They make all different kinds of pasta dishes and they do catering too. As I walked around I noticed they have wonderful imported soppressatas, ( dry cured salami’s) fresh pastas,and dry pastas, imported olive oils, balsamic’s , Italian cookies, delicious Italian breads. I've been working in Bridgewater for over 15 years and somehow missed this hidden gem until now! My wife, a stickler for authentic Italian food (being from Brooklyn and living in Jersey), was equally impressed. I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff, the owner, and of course, the food!

The culinary experience was nothing short of amazing, with each dish surpassing the last. Did you know they make their own focaccia bread? Pair that with their superb chicken cutlets, homemade mozzarella, and perfectly seasoned broccoli rabe with just the right amount of garlic—chef's kiss!

The real surprise, though, was the sun-dried peppers. I had never heard of them before coming here, and wow, they blew me away. If you love sun-dried tomatoes, these will take your taste buds to the next level. You must try them and thank me later.

I come here all the time here and my manager and other staff of where I work, often frequent the place. However, today was the first time experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Everything was pleasant I normally do a pickup order, and I was talking to the woman cashier she was very nice and she help me add stuff to my order. And while I’m waiting to get checked out, a staff member tells the lady to make sure her card goes through before I leave I’ve never had an issue with paying neither have my managers or other coworkers and I’ve never had a bad experience or my card or my managers cards going through. Didn’t like the feeling at all. Especially since nothing was mentioned to people ahead of me I don’t know if they were paying cash or card. I’ve worked in customer service 8+ years I’ve never would have said that to anyone especially a person that is a frequent patron....
