Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Brighton Charter Township

I found this location to have multiple positions available for employment considering high school and college students are returning back in August to school. I filled out an application in person then had the interview and was told I would receive a phone call back the following day. Long story short I had to contact the manager days later as I never received the follow-up call. I was told another candidate was selected that fit the profile better. Are you kidding me..the job postings are still all over! Still seeking multiple positions. I guess if you're not in your teens or twenties don't bother seeking employment with tropical smoothie. Communication is the key to success!!! What if those candidates never came through you're burning a bridge. I find this location is lacking professionalism, maybe corporate should train their general managers better when it comes to business etiquette. Highly disrespected!!! TAKE THE JOB POSTINGS DOWN IF YOU'RE NOT HIRING!!! WASTE OF TIME. Not to mention falsifying hourly wage as you're including potential tips as hourly wage. That's only if customers leave a tip! I will never go back to this place again and I hope after you read this you will never go there. I took my wife there and she is terminalie ill so she does not eat much or drink much because of her condition she also hardly goes out. So when she said she wanted to go with me this time I was so happy to get her out of the house. So i order her smoothie and pay and then my wife started talking and it didn't make any sense so the kid behind the counter started laughing at her. I wanted to jump over the counter and grab him but i knew i would end up in jail so i took my wife and we left. Now my wife does not want to go out because she afraid people my laugh at here. I was going there every couple of days because she loves it. Now I have to drive way out of my way so I can get her one and she wont go with. Young kids now a day have no respect for the elderly...

I have purchased about 20 smoothies and about 10 menu items from this location and only two smoothies were a disappointment. One because I wasn't a fan of the flavor (totally personal preference) and the other because the smoothie was light on ice and not really frozen. The Sunrise Sunset is by far my favorite. I always get the splenda substitute and cannot notice a difference. I did try no sweetener once and will never do that again as it lacked a lot of flavor and tasted like lightly seasoned ice. I miss the cha cha siracha flatbread as it was outstanding but the Hawaiian bbq is pretty good too. I wish they offered a 1/2 wrap option as the wraps are HUGE. Even a 1/2 wrap with smoothie would be awesome! Staff is always friendly too and gives good food...
