It's always a fantastic - to come out to The Great Harvest, In downtown Brighton, where they just know how to treat their customers Right. Of Course, it goes without saying - that their breads are the freshest & Tastiest! Amy & Matt are the new owners & doing everything right- whether you expect it or not. "I am their customer for life". Thank you Great Harvest- for being here!! Wanted to add a brand new experience- visited Today with my regular coffee drinking- Bike riding buddy (Don). We enjoyed Mac's creation - a special whole grain Peach- ginger(?), almond muffin, with my favorite Toasted Hazelnut coffee- It was very a perfect place, with perfect offering. The bakery was full, with customers, fresh aroma of bread coming out of oven made the place smell heavenly- Amy & Mac both came out & introduced themselves to Don..What a personal touch to Saturday morning experience. A group of girls and I went in one Sunday afternoon and were here to just hang out and try some bread. I had never been but everything looked and smelled amazing! We were all about to walk out, feeling guilty that we were not buying anything and the owner gives us free loaves of bread that he was going to give away anyways! We talked to the owner for a bit more explaining how we had just came from 242 community church and the sermon was about using your workplace as a mission field to show others the love of Christ. This is exactly what this owner did. We were blessed to see an example right after hearing about it! Thank you to the owner of this place. Us broke college girls enjoyed many delicious French toast breakfasts' because of his big heart! He turned our guilt into humbleness and joy! I am a life-long resident of Brighton and my family and I visit Great Harvest weekly. The service and facility has gone downhill since the new ownership. This past weekend 5/23/15, was our worst experience yet. The grills were down so they couldnt serve breakfast sandwiches, 3 of the coffee carafes were empty and it took more than 30 minutes to get the coffee we wanted, the floor around the coffee area feels like you may fall through to the basement. The service, overall, is just sub-par compared to what it was a year ago under the previous ownership. I purchased Lemon Pound Cake and a cinnamon roll, to our disappointment, they should have been sold in the 5-day old section (although that doesn't even exist). They were terrible!!
