Ordered seafood soup with shrimp, fish balls, and krab, supposedly. I ordered a "medium", quite large actually, but after having Spring Rolls I was half full, only put a small dent in the soup. There were only fish balls on top, but taking most home, with the seafood seemingly buried under the rice noodles, I was shocked to find only the noodles and fish balls when I reheated the left overs and got beneath the mountain of rice noodles the next day..
I came back 2 days later, expecting an explanation and a "make good", talking only to the one male server who had always seemed friendly. I live over 20 miles away, so of course I could not go back immediately. 2 days later, working in the area again, I asked for the Manager, i was told the Manager was unavailable. I politely asked the previous server how this could this happen, the soup missing 2/3rd of the seafood. Not only did he not offer to "make things right" the same male server was completely unapologetic, he demanded why I didn't bring the leftovers, back "right away". My explanation that I could not, only working in he area, did not "do it" for him, he became hostile, essentially blaming the problem on me, the customer. he claimed to have called the Manager, but said he could not reach him or her, and demanded I come back a 3rd time. I again stated that I lived far from the restaurant, and I could not keep coming back, I didn't know when I'd work in the area again, again he could have simply had the dish made with the proper ingredients, but was more interested in my "proving' that most of the seafood was missing and insisted only the Manager, who's seemingly never there, could order a remaking of the dish. The server meanwhile had had 2 days to get approval from this mysterious Manager.
While I may go back one more time to see if the Manager was ever really contacted, I will never spend a dime in this restaurant again, despite good food quality, because customer service is so...
Read moreHave been craving pho for months and hoped to find a good one in town. There are about 4 other places, but I chose this one based on the amount of 5 star reviews within a short period. Took a shot. Was not disappointed! I was afraid being in a small country town; the authenticity of Vietnamese food and flavor would be too altered. I ordered the Meatball Pho which is my go-to to see the kind of meatballs they would serve. Delicious Bo Vein meatballs, big, cut into slices. The Pho broth was very tasty, clear, and clean, but lacked the star anise or beef bone flavor, not too oily from marrow. While many don't like that, I definitely do. I will return to taste the other foods. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars was due my preference in broth. Price was average for what I've seen in Colorado. Expensive for Pho, but...
Read moreI love eating here. This is your typical hole in the wall Vietnamese restaurant, but ranks towards the top of my list in that category. I almost always get a medium combo pho with tea and some chili oil on the side and I'm never disappointed. Their chicken pho and spring rolls are also good. These dishes are naturally gluten free as long as you avoid the hoisin and peanut sauces. I usually have them bring me some sweet chili fish sauce to accompany the spring rolls in place of the peanut sauce. I'm celiac and have never had an adverse reaction eating here, nor has my sister who is 10 times more sensitive to gluten than I am. I highly recommend this place if you are...
