I hadn't been to this restaurant in years so I decided to give it a try again. I went in on a friday afternoon, there weren't very many people there it was kind of an early dinner. They have a lady making home made corn tortillas in the front (so amazingly good). When you sit down they give you 3 different salsa's with corn tortilla chips and a order of those warm mouth watering corn tortillas. It took a while to get our food but it was worth the wait! We ordered the combination platter an it was delicious! The chicken was so tender an deciduous, the carne asada was also tender an amazing, the shrimp was to die for in this amazing sauce with mushrooms! This was the best mexican food I've had in a long time! But then.....😩 of course I wanted to go back so the next friday we went back, ordered the same thing and I was sooo dissapointed! Our food came out very fast. The cabbage salsa looked an tasted like it was from the day before, the chicken was dry an over cooked, the carne asada was also dry an over cooked, an the shrimp in the sauce I said was amazing was almost sauceless so I asked for a side order of the sauce because the sauce was so good I wanted to pour it over everything an thats exactly what I did when I got it😵 big mistake!! It was a small bowl of oil, I didnt realise it until I poured it on everything😝 I just topped off the whole meal! I cant beleive they'd actually bring me a side of oil! I was so upset an the waitress new it! We barley touched our food and they didnt ask to take anything off the bill or refund us our money, nothing!! I will never go back again!! Eat at your own risk maybe you'll get lucky the first time but its not worth going back a...
Read moreWhy not 5 stars. 1 star ambiance, 2nd star looked clean...
3rd star? Faster service. Took 25 minutes for a tortilla-less burrito (bowl/plate) please, that is 10 minures at best there were 5 tables with 2 diners per.
4th Star? Communication.... None
5th Star? It was chorizo with lettuce and tomato. The burrito was suppose to have lettuce burrito, cheese amd potatoes + an animal protein.
5th Star B the burrito price listed was $4.50. I walked out paying $7.12. How does that work? Maybe the chips and salsa I did not ask for (see 4th Star?)?
I guess the question lingers, would you eat there again? And the response is one more time only because I believe anybody could have a bad day though I was there at 11:17 And they open at 10:30 so that's a very short-lived bad day.
For what I received though was different than what I ordered the food was flavorful and since it was really only chorizo that is made by whoever shipped it unless it was handmade .
I end up getting home and scrambled my own eggs, made my own potatoes and added this to that .
Guys, way step up your game . Don't leave somebody at the counter without checking in on them . Verify the order before you walk back and don't add or subtract from the order . We'll see you the next time which will be a while and another review will be forthcoming based on that experience.
Sorry that I had to leave a review like this and I call it as I see it based on that slice of time and I am quite sure that given the amount of people that typically is in the parking lot that this place has a decent following...
Read moreI've delivered from here a couple of times before and have always been impressed by the size of their signature margaritas (64oz). This was our first experience dining here. When we came in, the restaurant was relatively uncrowded. Our friends had already ordered a starter. We ordered our drinks: my wife and our friend shared the signature margarita and I ordered the long Island ice tea. It went downhill from there. The drinks took an incredibly long time to get to us. The margarita recipe had changed so it looked nothing like the picture and my drink tasted more like a margarita with a splash of the other alcohol. Not impressed. Now about our food. It was good, but not great Slightly above average. But that took a long time to get to us as well. Our server kept forgetting to bring us what we had asked for. It was frustrating, to say the least. We had ordered from the physical menu, as that was standard. So when we got the bill and saw that the prices of our food charged did not match the menu, we questioned our server. His reasoning: the menus haven't been updated yet, but we should have used the qr code on the end of the table and that the owner would go by that. If you are going to go by the new price, remove the physical menus so there is no confusion. Honestly, we thought Lupitas is much better - bigger portions, better cooked, and better prices. Go there instead, unless you really just want a...
