Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Bristol

We went to this location today and ordered 2 milkshakes. It was very busy but as we waited, we saw people come and go after we ordered. We waited 30 minutes and I finally rang the button and asked how much longer it would be. I told them I knew they were busy but saw people coming and going that ordered after us and had been waiting 30 minutes. The girl asked me what I ordered and I told her again. She said it would be right out. A man suddenly appeared with our shakes. We took off the lids to determine which shake was which and they were runny like water. I was very frustrated as we had already waited so long and it was obvious our drinks had sat somewhere all that time overlooked. So instead of making us fresh shakes, they brought us these watered down warm shakes. So I rang the bell again and asked for a manager. A woman came out and I poured a little out on the ground to show her how runny they were and demanded my money back. She said that's how their shakes are. I told her no they never are like that so she took them back and walked away. The next thing I know, this huge aggressive man storms my car and dumps a huge tub of water all over the ground and my car and says the charge will go back on my card. Granted I shouldn't have poured that little bit of shake on the ground but I just wanted the manager to see the consistency. This guy had no right to come over to my car and dumpnwater all over the place. He could have done that after I left. We left that location and went to the one on State Street and ordered the same shakes. I'm having to eat mine with a spoon because it's so thick and made correctly. Edit: Sadly, today I have to down great my rating. We ordered ahead like we always do, so we don’t have to wait to order when we get there and for them to get the food prepared because we only have a 30 minute lunch. The food presented well and they had it out quickly and the lady again this time was very sweet! However, whenever i got back to the office and we opened everything the burgers had grease covering them and soaked into the buns ( we couldn’t get a decent picture of that), but we included pictures of the wrappers and grease the dripped out in the counter and started to harden 🥴. The bottom of the bag is covered like it was leaking out of the wrappers. 2/4 sándwiches we got we’re of good quality. The 2 double cheese burgers is what this mainly occurred on which understandable because they have more fat in the meat, but still the amount was ridiculous. The fun doesn’t stop there. The onions rings that we received on our two large orders tasted like they were sorta freezer burnt but also like they had been in the warmer too long and served.. though they were warm the quality wasn’t great.

I'm very disappointed in this Sonic location. Today was medium slushes for .79 cents and when we ordered we were told no slushes due to the machine is down. So, we asked for a shake instead and they said that machine is also down. Same thing happened the last time there was a special for 1/2 price shakes back in May. And now I'm reading the reviews and it looks like they've had several complaints about the slushy machine and ice cream machine being down. That's ridiculous!! We've been to this location many times over the years but now it's just a disappointment when you think you might want a cold treat on a hot day. Either the machine is a piece of crap or the people don't want to take on the extra demand to fulfill a special deal. And they never offer to honor the special on another day when the machine is working. Definitely not fair!! What's the point in having a special if you can't get it?? My ratings are all 1 because -we didn't get the food we wanted, the atmosphere was disappointing once we were told we couldn't get it and the service - they really didn't seem to care that they couldn't provide what we asked for. I wish there was another sonic closer because I'd never go to this...
