Several months back, my husband and I, went here because they have been well established in this area for many years to remove our factory system and install our pioneer radio system. Which they did. We purchased 2 Kenwood 5 ibb speakers for the front of the car and was supposed to be 6x9's for the back dash for lil over $400.00. Everything. Just to told tat the 6x9 kenwoods don't fit our car but he has a cheaper set that do fit the bolt pattern of our car. They are only 150 watt speaker, never heard of the brand before but took nan at his word. They brought our car to us, we listened and it sounded good. When husband had time to set equalizer noticed a rattle in right door speaker, took it back and had to ask what was wrong cause they just brought husband key was told nothing. Once asked was told that one of his installers had dropped a clip down in speaker and when it thumped it would rattle. Installer removed lip and no rattle. Now we notice not a rattle but a vibration in the back dash and husband inspects and there is inky 3 screws holding speaker down on driver side and on passenger side there's only 2 screws down. Not happy with service at all. Thank god we are not purchasing and installing our subwoofer and amp through this place. I will travel...
Read moreI really like Traffic Jams. When I was in high school I had them install a nice system into my car. Now that I am an adult and moved back to the area (somewhat, I moved to JC) I still go there. It's a drive, there are places closer, but I like and trust them.
I needed my Sirius mounted and hardwired into my car along with my GPS and a stereo I didn't even buy there. They didn't charge me the normal 50 for the Sirius and the GPS because I had all my mounting stuff and wires. Even after they realized they couldn't use my brackets and had to fabricate something they didn't up charge me. The installation for my stereo was not only less expensive than best buy, but it looked clean and sounded great. I even took my husbands car down to have his Sirius mounted and wired in. Now that we have purchased a new car for him, they will be installing the new stuff in it.
They do take awhile though. I've spent all day without a car, but personally I'd rather have to set aside a day and have it done correctly than take it somewhere else who will probably take just as long and not do as good of a job for the same price.
I have never felt over pressured or overcharged there and I'm exceptionally happy...
Read moreI have went to traffic jams for years to have my systems put in but never again. I'm assuming since I'm a female I wouldn't notice the lack of quality work they put into mine this time. They didn't put the gain/bass control know that comes standard with most wiring kits, they spliced and tapes my existing wires rather than replacing them and the kicker is when I pulled the panels up and found unsecured wires and this picture of the power wire with an unknown wire wrapped around it. The ground was open wires where there should have been end connectors. I use to highly recommend but...
