Common Pub & Grille — Restaurant in Bristol

My sister and brother in law have been in RI for almost 2 weeks and are leaving to go back home to Vegas tomorrow so we all got together for a family night out at the Common Pub. I'm the only one who has never been here before and was pleasantly surprised!

The food was excellent and everyone was very pleasant! There was a mix up with my meal and I didn't receive it until everyone was finished eating. The waiter was very apologetic and when it finally arrived it was well worth the wait! I had the shrimp, little necks and scallops with the clear white sauce over spaghetti. It was absolutely delicious! The potion was huge and it had 6 or 7 extra large shrimp, the same number of little necks and about 4 large scallops. I'm taking half of it home and will enjoy it another day!

Even with the mix up I still think this place deserves 5 stars...no one is perfect..and it happens! The food was delicious, the prices and service were excellent and everyone had a wonderful time! I would definitely return and also recommend this place...

updated 8-14-24 still my go to in Bristol and Courtney is catering my wedding in two months, asked for a special make and for her to put her own spin on it, which she did; loved it all. I can't wait to have her setve to my whole family. Prices are so affordable for the.portions and quality. Will update in Oct with wedding food pics!!** My favorite restaurant in Bristol!! Portions are big; Most will have leftovers for the next day. The owner Courtney always has something new (food and cocktails!!) on the special board, which NEVER disappoints. Prices, in all honesty, should be much higher for the amount and quality of the food that comes out of the kitchen. Example: Fridays was fish n chips, 3 clam cakes and chowder for 15.99!!! This was going to be 1 star review if the food wasn’t so dang good! We understand how busy things can get on a Friday night especially considering the stated wait time was already over an hour but we waited well over half an hour extra standing patiently and we were only spoken/acknowledged once when we first arrived and paid. It would have been nice, especially considering how relatively large and expensive our order was (and given COVID concerns) if we were at least told to wait in the car and called the number we provided when we made our order. Instead we were ‘hangrily’ waiting around by ourselves. In all, this place has AMAZING food, GREAT portions but could maybe work a bit on their customer service to prevent ‘hangry’ customers from a 30 minute standing wait.
