I was excited to try this new restaurant and was pleasantly greeted by the staff member who was waiting outside the drive thru speaker. She took my order and even made suggestions. I ended up ordering tea for myself and children without realizing it had oranges in it. I wish they had a straight up sweet tea option. Oranges literally make me gag since my first pregnancy. I just can't do oranges in anything. Well the young man at the window was very rude to begin with. He acted like me buying food from the restaurant was a personal slight against him and he'd rather be anywhere than at work. I get that. Been there and done that, but I'd never take it out on a customer. I got the 4 drinks one by one, no drink tray offered, and saw the oranges in them. He huffed after giving me every single one. I asked about the oranges thinking I could just quickly take them out and perhaps it would be okay, but the tea is brewed in oranges too. I politely told him that I didn't know about the oranges when I ordered and would like to get something else. He's still acting like I'm a nusencse even before I asked to exchange the teas. He tries to charge me nearly 5 bucks for 1 new drink much less the other 2 and wave me away getting very testy and telling me he can't take the tea back. I explain I know he can't take the drink back, that's fine, but I would like something else instead. Me and my children would not be able to drink the orange tea and I'm sorry that we didn't realize. (The woman taking our order never mentioned the oranges and I could not see the detail on the menu.) This young man continues being hostile when I tell him I won't be paying for more drinks. Finally a manager takes over and handles everything smoothly and appologizes. This young man should not be at the window interacting with customers. He made the entire experience horrible. Everything else was great, but his addittude...
Read moreI am editing my review after returning on several occasions for lunch, since my last review. I have reordered my usual several times and each time has been spot on. Tastes amazing and the customer service, even from the start has always been on point. Everyone is always friendly and that goes a long way in itself. I have friends who are also telling me things seem better since the opening! I debated on reviewing but when I compare this to Johnson City TN, where I have ate their many times, I was left disappointed. I took a friend that has never tried this before and I raved about how good it was. That this one was new in town. I ordered my go too, the medium pulled pork BBQ petro, my friend ordered a Buffalo chicken petro, then ordered two loaded baked potatoes and a chili cheese dog for someone else. My complaint was the food. The service and kindness from the staff were on point. I had a literal sprinkle of pulled pork on top. No BBQ that I could taste and not even a fork full of meat. My friend with the chicken was similar. My bowl was literally only chili and chips, that was basically it. So that was disappointing, considering the price for the bowl. Potatoes looked good but were not mine to eat. The chili cheese dog we paid for was sadly not in our bag. We did not discover this until 20 minutes away. So, I am hopeful because this place is new, they will get it together. I understand flukes happen and everything. I hope the employees weren't trained to put the smallest portion of meat in the petro bowls. If so, the portions need to honestly...
Read moreWe love trying out new places. This was our first visit and didn't know what to expect, but based on the reviews we decided to try it! Megan who took the order and served at the window was very friendly. We tried one small original Petro each, and also had the nachos. It was a lot of food, but we just wanted to try both. We had one original nachos with olives and one with chicken, olives and jalapenos. Honestly, the original Petros seemed to be missing something, not sure what. Maybe a little more spice? It was good, but just seemed a little bland. I'll probably try the Baja next time to see what it tastes like with salsa? The nachos were very good. A large portion, with excellent-tasting queso, and jalapenos were not too spicy. Wife liked the Petro's Ice Tea with orange. All of the toppings in the food seemed very fresh. A nice change from all of the burger joints. We will return to try...
