I was very excited to try this place as my wife and I had passed by it several times. We are always looking for a great brunch place in this seemed like it. The decor is very nice and this is more than just a wine bar. Supposedly it had great brunch. Unfortunately this was not the case. The first thing that I noticed walking through the door was that it was incredibly loud. We Sat at a table in the table was very sticky. I had to use my napkin to keep my arms from sticking to the table. My wife ordered a drink and it was completely terrible. They made a Moscow Mule with what was basically a half a cup of lime juice, a splash of ginger beer and maybe some vodka? I ordered a beer and they of course, did not have it. I ended up ordering another one a different kind and it was skunked. Not off to a great start. I ordered the chicken and waffles cause you really can’t mess up chicken and waffles. Apparently I was wrong. The waffle was at least three or four days old. It was not fresh tasted stale. The chicken was definitely old and reheated. It was so dry that I could barely chew it and get it down. I got through about 1/4 of my meal and just gave up. My wife and my daughter‘s meals were not much better. The breakfast potato fries were greasy and undercooked. It was like they put them on a flat top and poured vegetable oil over them, hoping that they would crisp but took them off about 15 or 20 minutes too early. As a cherry on top. We seated next to a group where one of the members was a male who is cackling so loudly that it actually hurt my ears. He was dressed in a stolen valor, eBay special army airborne T-shirt. That was two sizes too small so his belly stood out. Not a great experience and we will not be back. One last note is that they store the condiments being the catchup and hot sauce in a tray with all their cleaning supplies and a dirty rag. As I write this, I’m sitting on the toilet with diarrhea, probably from the lack of cleanliness and hygiene...
Read moreWent to enjoy an anniversary dinner with my husband. Restaurant was so loud I couldn’t even hear him speak across the table from me. Waitress obviously couldn’t hear us either because I had to literally yell to get her attention after she walked past our table several times without checking on us. After taking our drink order she immediately left the table to put it in without taking our food order. When she came back for our food order, she again immediately left the table after we told her our appetizer choice and ignored my husband telling her we wanted to also order our entrees. Perhaps a pen and paper would have been helpful to remember our orders rather than needing to run to the computer immediately. App plates never came and we were stuck trying to awkwardly share an appetizer across a bizarrely long table for two. We would have asked for plates except neither our server, nor any other staff, checked on us after a food runner put our plate down and turned on his heel. When she finally came back near us she never bothered to remove the empty app plate from our table, or our menus, and instead walked by several times without even acknowledging us. Food was slow and nearly inedible. Please note the “burnt chili butter” is actually burnt. Not sure what happened to the gremolata, probably burnt that too. We ended up leaving before finishing our meal because there was no point in continuing to sit in a loud room across the table from one another where we couldn’t even have a conversation or...
Read moreWe were really excited to try this place after seeing all the positive reviews online. My friend had already arrived about 10 mins prior to me and had been served her drink. I had to wait about another 10 minutes to get greeted and receive my drink. Service was really slow. I honestly think there may have been one server and then a busser who helped with water and clearing tables. This was for the entire restaurant, inside and out. Charcuterie boards were both good, but very basic. The real issues were our main courses and service. My friend had the roasted chicken. It was covered in butter and had zero flavor. She only had a few bites and then couldn't eat anymore. She sent hers back and told the sever she didn't want anything in its place. I had the Risotto Verde. My Risotto was undercooked and crunchy. I also only had a few bites. By the time I ate my few bites, my friend had already sent hers back. The sever eventually asked if I needed a box and I said no thank you it was undercooked. They did not refund either of our dinners. We both ordered a final glass of wine and when my refill decanter was poured into my glass it had flakes of food and spices in it. I asked for a new glass and the server rolled her eyes at me and inspected the glass in front of me. I'll never come here again. Spent $60 on undercooked food and was made to feel lucky to be served...
