I love Cozumel, but today was CRAZY. Its Cinco de Mayo, everyone wants their mexican food i understand. But this was outrageous. This in particular cozumel allowed call in takeout orders & ONLINE.. worst mistake doing online. They had over 200+ orders come in within 30 minutes because of the online system causing a HUGE back up. Orders were coming out every 15 minutes if that and it was one at a time or maybe a few, and that was only if you paid online. If you didn’t you’d go inside to pay and get your food. If you came to order you were asked to leave because it was impossible to give out that many orders in such a small time span. It was cold outside on top of everything!!! so mind you everyone’s waiting outside for 2+ hours just to get some food. People camping out in their TRUNKS in the parking lot because it took so long. CAMPING OUT IN THEIR TRUNKS PPL! it was madness. Cops were there handing out bags because they didn’t have enough people to do so. A pad of paper went around where tens of people wrote their names for a refund. Especially during a time like this, mexican restaurants need to PREPARE for the madness that’s gonna come with takeout. Unlike a sit down restaurant where there’s a reservation and a certain amount of orders in the kitchen at once, this is takeout, and the online system didn’t do anyone justice since so many people could place orders. So basically i waited 2 hours, paid 40$ for food while leaving a generous tip, and then didn’t get NOTHING. It was getting dark who wants to stand outside in the dark while it’s cold? Not me. This should’ve been handled a lot better because there’s a lot of...
Read moreWe went a busy Sunday night for dinner. There were several large noisy/ celebrating groups ( including crying infants) present. As a result, overall service was a little slower than what we had experienced in the past. Despite above, we were tucked away in a little corner and therefore not bothered by the noise, and the children were all very well behaved. I am just trying to accurately describe the experience. Our (overworked) waitress was attentive as possible and when a small problem arose with our order, she quickly corrected the issue. One thing that I did NOT enjoy ... but did NOT bring to the waitstaff notice ( I hate complaining; especially on such a busy night) was the Watermelon Margarita I ordered. No "watermelon", rather sour and weirdly bitter, as well. But as I said, I never mentioned it so I didn't give them the opportunity to correct it. Maybe margaritas just aren't supposed to come in those flavors...like an unspoken law I violated by ordering anything other than a basic margarita. What Cozumel knocks outta the park, is the food. There were 5 of us and 4 ordered completely different meals so there was a good variety. Every single one DELICIOUS. So, summing up....even on a crazy busy night, you'll get a great meal at a great value. And, Natural Law never intended margaritas to come in...
Read moreSo my husband and I love this restaurant and go here very frequently. We dined in last night for Cinco De Mayo it was very loud and very busy. So we waited for about an hour for a table and when we did get seating we were sat in the main dinning room. There was a while row of tables along the bank wall that were being loud and yelling and screaming they were young kids like early 20's. I mean it was to the point I had to yell at my husband for him to hear me. So we asked if we could be moved to the bar side. So a table finally came available and we got moved admittedly. It was much quieter and the frozen margaritas were amazing and the food was excellent as usual. I just wanted to say there staff is very pleasant and respectful of you and treat like family. Also after we got seated the table that was being loud was given there checks and were asked to leave immediately. Thanks for excellent service and going above and beyond to make my experience more comfortable. 😀 I highly recommend this place if you have never been. Shoutout to Javier and Louise for helping us we really...
